Stanford has snuck into the Top Ten of the national rankings, largely on the back of an impressive home win over a USC team that might not be very good. This looks like a sterner test.
[dfads params=’groups=220&limit=1&return_javascript=1′]
Oregon is essentially untested so it is hard to know what the Ducks really have other than a striong quarterback in Justin Herbert who looks just fine after last year’s injury shortened season.
Stanford Cardinal
Stanford hits the road or this one after beating UC Davis only 30-10. The win was not very inspiring but they did not even suit up their top playmaker Bryce Love.
Love has had a little trouble getting going so far and KJ Costello threw two interceptions last week. Stanford needs their offense to start producing more if they are going to beat the better teams on their schedule.

Stanford is not giving up much on defense so far this season but Herbert will test them. Oregon can run and thron and he won’t be the dear in the headlights that JT Daniels was.
Oregon Ducks
The Ducks are looking to return to the time when they were dominant team in the PAC 12 North. If they are able to get a win in this game it would definitely put the rest of the league on notice and they are good enough to do so.
Justin Herbert has looked good but you want him to be a little more careful with the ball. He has thrown 2 interceptions in each of the Ducks two FBS wins. They were hardly against elite defenses either and eventually those mistakes will cost you.

Bryce Love is going to play this week for the Cardinal so the Ducks better have a strong defensive showing. They have not been giving up a lot on the ground but Love is able to take one missed tackle to the house as well as anyone in college football.

Free Week 4 NCAA Football Pick
This definitely feels like one of those games where you should just back the side that is going to win. That might seem obvious with such a small number but sometimes it is better to just take that out of the equation all together.
4* Free NCAA Betting Pick: Stanford -2
This could be one of those games that we look at if Oregon is truly back to being a contender in the PAC 12 and nationally. I am not sure they are there just yet and trust what I have seen from Stanford much more.
Odds are the Ducks can’t bottle up Love, Stanford makes a few big passing plays when Oregon does sell out to stop the run and the Cardinal defense is the stout force we saw against USC and have gotten used to seeing in the past.
