This week three matchup will see the Stanford Cardinal out of the PAC-12 take on the UCF Knights out of the American.
These teams have not met since 2015, so do not but much weight into the previous meeting where Stanford won 31-7.
Stanford Cardinal
The Cardinal were demolished by USC last week 45-20. They had their backup quarterback starting the game, but their starter, K.J. Costello is likely to make his return for this game.
The Cardinal had a great start to this game, going up 17-3 early in the second quarter. They totaled 335 yards of offense.

After halftime, the Stanford offense was terrible. They scored 20 points in the first half and got 0 in the second half. Davis Mills threw for 237 yards, one touchdown an one interception.
Their rushing game was held under 100 yards, which is just not good. Cameron Scarlett was the leading rusher with 83 yards on 17 carries an one touchdown. So, at the very least their top running back had a decent game.
Defensively, the Cardinal just fell apart. They allowed 492 yards in total, 377 yards through the air and 115 yards on the ground. Keep in mind that USC had to play their back up quarterback too, so it was just a horrible look from this defense.
UCF Knights
The Knights are back to their winning ways as they blew out Florida Atlantic 48-14. They actually had to call this game early due to lightning, but luckily they had already played 55 minutes so any bets on UCF counted as action.
The Knights continued to show why they are likely the best Group of 5 team in the country. This is a spot where they will be able to prove that they can play with a school from a bigger conference.

Offensively, the Knights have been amazing through the first two games of the season. Granted, they have not really been tested yet, but they are averaging 55 points per game and 634 total yards per game.
Against FAU, they had 574 yards of offense. Their quarterback only threw for 245 yards, but he had two touchdowns. Their running game was outstanding, as they racked up 312 yards and saw five different guys score. No player reached the 100-yard mark, but in the end it did not matter as multiple guys rushed for 75 yards or more.
Defensively, the Knights completely shut down FAU. The Owls had 314 yards of total offense, but a lot of this came when the Knights were already up huge. The Knights held the FAU quarterback to 177 yards passing and he completed 18 of his 40 passes. KJ Costello is returning from an injury, so he may be a little rusty an I expect the Knights to pressure him all game long.

Free Week 3 NCAA Football Pick
Stanford looked terrible last week and even if Costello returns for this game, I just do not trust the Cardinal defense. I like the Knights to win this game at home.
4* Free NCAA Betting Pick: UCF Knights -7.5
I think UCF will continue to have success through the air, but their run game will tear this Stanford defense apart as well. Give me the Knight laying the points.
