Purdue and Northwestern battle it out Saturday for a Big 10 clash at high noon.
While Purdue has nothing but spoiler to play for, Northwestern will continue to try not just to improve their bowl game placement, but also try to pursue a very outside chance at a Big Ten title.

Given the circumstances, this is going to be a tough one for the Boilermakers as they come in 0-3 on the road, while Northwestern is 5-1 at home.
Northwestern
The Wildcats sit 24th in the nation with just 2 losses, but those both come in conference play which causes many problems for them in terms of a Big Ten West Championship.
Northwestern has been outscored 78-10 in 2 Big 10 losses as they sit 3-2 in the conference in 3rd place. Ahead of them sits 2nd place Wisconsin (5-1) and Iowa (5-0). With already losing to Iowa, they would need Iowa to lose out and the Wildcats would have to win out, which would include a victory over Wisconsin.
So while that isn’t very likely, Northwestern will be playing for placement in their bowl game this year.

Northwestern has picked up a lot of steam as they are in the midst of a 2 game winning streak with wins over Nebraska, on the road, and their most current win over Penn State at home.
RB Justin Jackson comes in off a giant performance that saw him rush for 186 yards on 28 carries as he continues to tear apart the opposition. On the season, Jackson has rushed for 917 yards, but has found the end zone just 1 time.
Clayton Thorson, who left last game with a 1st quarter injury, is likely going to be healthy enough to start come Saturday.
Purdue
It’s been another disappointing season for the Purdue Boilermakers. Sitting with just 2 wins, the Boilermakers will miss out on another post season game.
Their 2 wins have come against Indiana State, in non-conference play, and Nebraska in conference play in shoot out fashion.
Purdue took one to the chin last week against Illinois as they were routed 48-14. The loss was very disappointing as they couldn’t build off their big win over Nebraska.

Overall, Purdue had just 263 yards of total offense, which sits well below their season average of 352.4.
Markell Jones has been the lone bright spot for this struggle Purdue team as he’s racked up 634 yards and 7 touchdowns on the season. He leads a Purdue offense that is scoring 25.7 points per game. All things considered, that number should have resulted them in a couple more wins.
However, their defense is just abysmal. The Boilermakers are allowing 35.9 points per game and 453.3 yards against per game.

Free Week 11 NCAA Football Prediction
Truthfully, Purdue is just bad. They really have nothing to play for and it’s already been announced that Darrell Hazell will return in 2016. This means he, like many others, are already looking forward to next season.
