Pittsburgh is on a two game losing streak, while Clemson has started the season 9-0 and in prime position for a College Football Playoff spot.
Pittsburgh Panthers
Nathan Peterman has been up & down for the Panthers under center. The senior QB was only 17-35 for 287 yards and 2 touchdowns with an interception. He also ran the ball 8 times for 25 yards.
This week the Clemson defense will be looking to get another shutout after stopping the Syracuse offense last week. Look for Peterman to throw for under 200 yards and 3 interceptions.
James Conner has been a very good back for the Panthers this year. He hasn’t returned to his all ACC form of 2014, but he is scoring touchdowns at a good pace.
He ran the ball 12 times for 40 yards and a score last week, his third straight game finding the end zone. The talented back should see the ball 15-20 times in this game in order for Pitt to have a shot at the upset.

Jester Weah has scored in 3 straight games and 4 of his last 5. The tall senior wideout broke a few big plays to get 3 catches for 115 yards and a score. His 75 yard reception was the highlight of the game for the offense in the loss to Miami.
This week he will have a tougher test against the Clemson secondary, and I don’t expect big numbers from him.
Clemson Tigers
Deshaun Watson followed up a gutsy performance against Florida State with an easy game against the Syracuse Orange. The potential #1 draft pick was 13-16 for 161 yards and 2 touchdowns. He also ran the ball 7 times for 39 yards and a score.
He won’t get to rest against the Pitt defense as this one won’t be as big of a blowout, so look for Watson to throw 2 touchdowns and get 350 total yards on the day.
Wayne Gallman scored a touchdown for the second straight week, and in limited time last week he also ran the ball 10 times for 60 yards. He has not been a threat receiving the ball all year, but he is averaging nearly 6 yards per carry this season.
He should easily top the 100 yard mark against the Panthers defensive front seven.
Mike Williams was dominant against the Syracuse defense last week.
He hauled in 6 passes for 106 yards and a score. The Panthers secondary was lit up by Brad Kaaya and the Hurricanes last week, so expect Williams to have another 100 yard game with 2 scores.

The Clemson defense was lights out last week, shutting out the Syracuse offense and keeping them under 125 yards passing.
If they can force turnovers like they did last week (3 interceptions) this one should be over by the end of the third quarter.
