MACtion keeps on going this Wednesday as a MAC East battle takes place between the Ohio Bobcats and Bowling Green Falcons.
Currently, the visitors from Ohio sit in 2nd place at 2-2 and the Falcons sit atop at 4-0.

With 3 teams tied at 2-2 for 2nd place in the MAC East, Ohio cannot afford a loss here on Wednesday. Not only would it knock them 3 games behind the Falcons, but would virtually make it a 4 game deficit because of tie breaker rules.
Kick off is set for 8:00 PM on the ESPN family of networks.
Ohio
The Bobcats find themselves at .500 in the MAC after starting off 2-0. Ohio defeated Akron and Miami OH, two of the lower teams in the MAC, but once the competition heated up, the struggles became reality.
Ohio dropped a 49-14 decision to Western Michigan and then fell to the Buffalo Bulls last week 41-17. The Bobcats dug themselves a 31-10 halftime deficit and couldn’t find their way out of the hole.

Ohio’s struggles came on both sides of the ball, but their defensive mishaps and blown coverages were certainly highlighted. The Bobcats allowed 422 yards against which is above their season average of 370.2.
Offensively, Buffalo’s defense was all over the Bobcats offense. They forced them into 4 turnovers, with 3 of those coming form QB Derrius Vick. The Bobcats’ QB finished 32 of 51 for 321 yards, but his 3 interceptions set up the Bulls with solid field position.
The key to Wednesday’s contest with the Falcons will be on the Bobcats ability to slow down the high powering offense. Ohio’s defense allows just 23.0 points per game, but Bowling Green is averaging 43.9 points themselves.
Bowling Green
The Falcons may not have played the best competition in the nation by any means, but they still hold one of the best offenses in the nation.
Currently, the Falcons sit 4th in the nation in total offense with 595.2 yards per game. The Falcons offense is a dominant pass team as they average 434.1 pass yards per game. QB Matt Johnson continues to pick apart secondaries, but will have one of his tougher tests of the season this week.
[dfads params=’groups=219&limit=1&return_javascript=1′]
Johnson has tossed for 3321 yards on the season with 29 touchdowns to just 3 interceptions. His ability to take care of the ball and not force it into tight windows is one of the many reasons he is one of the best QBs in the MAC.
Bowling Green comes in winners of 4 in a row as they shut out Kent State 48-0 last time out. The Falcons continued to march up and down the field en route to a 31-0 halftime lead.
Bowling Green even surpassed their season average in total yards as they racked up 602 yards.

Free Week 10 NCAA Football Prediction
Bowling Green is certainly in the drivers seat in the MAC East. Their only danger right now is the fact they have three 2-2 teams behind them. Still, they can pretty much eliminate the Bobcats here with a win. While this will be one of their toughest defenses faced, the BG offense is just too good to slow down.
