North Carolina is looking to finish strong and go back to the ACC title game.
To do so they can’t really afford any slip-ups given that they are tied with Virginia Tech but lost to the Hokies earlier in the season.
Things are clicking for the Tar Heels right now as they have won and covered three in a row.

Duke has a couple of nice wins this season but overall it has been a down year, compared to the last few seasons.
However, if you have been following closely you will see that this team has covered in five of their last six.
Leading with defense this team is better than it looks at first glance.
North Carolina Tar Heels
At their best the Tar Heels look to drive the ball at you with a power running game and a strong passing attack.
RB Elijah Hood finally looks healthy after back to back 100+ yard games and QB Mitch Trubisky has righted himself after a bad game against Va Tech – no interceptions in the last three games.
He is having a great season in his first go at starter and when this offense is clicking it is as good as any in the ACC.
They scored 66 on Duke last year at home and are capable of doing it again.

The challenge for UNC is still defense, though it seems it is improving.
It is funny because in the previous regime they were cranking out NFL talent on defense and now they have struggles with it.
On some days it still looks like they are allergic to tackling but this season the Blue Devils are not nearly as dangerous when they have the ball.
On their current three game winning streak they have not given up more than 20 points in any one game.
Duke Blue Devils
Duke has gone to a bowl game the last four season but it looks like that streak is going to come to an end this year as they would have to sweep three tough games down the stretch.
The highlight of the year has been a win over Notre Dame but it has been surprising how the offense has never really come together.
Daniel Jones may have a bright future but right now he is just very mistake prone. Still it is easy to see him one day being the top quarterback in the conference and play on Sundays.

The defense has been strong yielding just under 24ppg.
They managed to really stymie a good Army running attack and held Louisville, one of the most explosive teams in the country to just 24 points, 26 points below their season average.
The defense will have to have another strong game for the Blue Devils to stay in this one.
They probably need to goad Trubisky into a couple of turnovers too.

North Carolina has to be the play here.
Their offense is really good and even though Duke shows some spunk on defense I think ultimately they just get worn down in this one.
The Duke offense used to be reason to back them in underdog situations but it isn’t what we remember from past years this season.
4* Free NCAA Betting Pick: North Carolina -10.5
Per usual they are trying to get you to think twice about this number because of that extra half point.
Don’t fall prey I think we are going to see a strong Tar Heels attack from the get go and an ability to pound away once they have the lead.
Look for UNC to build this working margin and feel pretty comfortable nearly all game long.
