Both of these teams are coming off a loss against to level opponents. Northern Illinois surprised at the Horseshoe against OSU while BC fell to Florida State.

The opening number kind of has me surprised.
Northern Illinois
The Huskies usually knock of a power team each season and it looks like this will be their final chance after coming this close to killing the Buckeyes championship dreams.
As a result I am really surprised they are not getting more respect heading into this one, especially against an opponent that didn’t even score a point last week.
These teams are actually very similar.

Northern Illinois always wants to be physical and it will be interesting to see if they can get their ground game going against Boston College. They struggled last week but the OSU defense is a little better than what BC has got.
Still they are going to have to get something in the passing game from Drew Hare, If he doesn’t throw a couple of picks last week maybe that game turns out a little different.
Northern Illinois has proven they can beat good teams on the road and they will be psyched to add and ACC scalp to their mantle.
Boston College
The Eagles may be 2-1 but both of those victories are over FCS opponents. In their lone game against real competition they were shutout at home.
Coach Steve Addazio wants to be a power running team. Last year they had a great running threat at QB but this season things are going to be different.
Darius Wade is not much of a running threat and might not be much of a passing one either.

In last week’s loss to Florida State the Eagles might have proven that they can be a very good defensive team.
The Seminoles struggled all game long to get their offense in gear and half of their 14 points came on a fumble recovery for a touchdown.
I don’t know how real a prospect he is but Troy Flutie is the backup quarterback right now. If case you didn’t immediately make the connection he is the nephew former BC hero and pro quarterback Doug Flutie. Kind of like BC royalty.

Free Week 4 NCAA Football Prediction
I really think the oddsmakers got this one wrong and the Huskies are going to win outright. Getting some points as a cushion is awesome value.

Even if I was making the Eagles a favorite I don’t see how you can make them more than a FG based on their resume this season
