Who wants to add onto Texas A&M’s misery? That might be Nicholls State Colonels who will face off the potential ready to go Aggies back in their home state of Texas.
Nicholls State is coming off an impressive 37-35 last-second win over McNeese State in their season opener, while we all know what happened to the Aggie’s.
Texas A&M would blow a 34 point lead with 4 minutes left in the 3rd quarter as UCLA made history in the Rose Bowl.
Nicholls State Colonels
The Nicholls State Colonels will look to build off one of their best last-second wins over McNeese State as they are facing a low moral Aggies team.
In last week’s game, quarterback Chase Fourcade took charge with going 10 of 21 passing for 213 yards and 3 touchdowns.

Fourcade did throw an interception, but it did tip off a wide open receiver who should have caught it. On the ground, it was quiet but still very effective late in the game. Fourcade would also rush for a team-high 49 yards and a touchdown on his 10 carries.
In conclusion, the quarterback play of Nicholls State was very impressive last week and is the key cornerstone in the Colonels offense. On the end of his passes were Damion Jeanpiere who led Nicholls with 3 receptions for 145 yards and two touchdowns.
Another receiver Raheem Falkins also added a touchdown to his name.

So why did the Colonels almost lose this game? They were dominated in time of possession as McNeese State had the ball for over 40 minutes. McNeese State had over 432 yards of total offense as they slowly marched down the field.
Because of the short time left, Nicholls State was forced to throw, but in the end it all worked out.
Texas A&M Aggies
It’s going to be interesting to see how the Aggies will play Saturday. Will they continue their fallout ways, or show off their impressive offense and defense that UCLA fans hated for most of the game last week?
If you lived under a rock for the past weeks, Texas A&M Aggies will be looking to bounce back after suffering one of NCAAF worst collapses of all time.
They were up 44-10 with a little over 4 minutes left in the 3rd quarter, and blew it.
One of the reasons why the fallout happen was due to quarterback Nick Starkel who threw 62 yards before leaving the game with a broken foot. He will miss the remainder of the season. However the passing game was not needed as the ground game of Trayveon Williams was impressive.
With over 203 yards and a pair of TD’s he surely felt the loss the most. Another running back also added to that total as Keith ford had 114 yards with three rushing TD’s.
But wait not done yet. 2nd string QB Kellen Mond racked up 54 yards on the ground while only completed 3 passed for 27 yards.

Defensively, the Aggies combined 3 forced fumbles with their 3 sacks but that still was not enough as they let over 300 yards of total offense happen in the 4th quarter.
With the injury to the main quarterback, it might be a rough season for the Aggies.
