Two teams predicted to finish on opposite sides of their respective conferences meet in Week 1 as the Miami OH Redhawks travel into Iowa to take on the Hawkeyes.
Iowa sits number 15 in the nation and expects to compete not just for the Big 10 title, but also a National Title.
Miami (OH) RedHawks
The Redhawks have been a bit of a struggle in head coach Chuck Martin.

In a two year span, Martin has gone just 5-19 as the head coach, but did at least improve his win total by 1 last season.
They’re still a very young group that continues to grow, but this year could be another experience of a lot of growing pains and frustrations.
Like so many young teams, there are a lot of competition battles for positions. One in particular is the QB battle.

Billy Bahl and Gus Ragland are both scheduled to get some time here, despite the experience gap. Bahl started 7 games last season and threw for 8 touchdowns as a true freshman.
As any true freshman does, he tried to force the issue a lot, throwing 13 interceptions.
#15 Iowa Hawkeyes
The #15 Hawkeyes took the program many steps forward last season and are now looking to take the final step.
2015 was extremely successful, going 12-2 and winning the Big Ten West. It took an 8 minute 90 yard drive to end their Big Ten Championship hopes against the Spartans.
Almost all the pieces of this successful offense returns as well.
QB CJ Beathard and the dominant RB duo of LeShun Daniels and Akrum Wadley all return to the backfield that was the best in the BIG 10. Daniels and Wadley combined for 1100 yards and 15 touchdowns.

As a team, the Hawkeyes averaged 181.7 yards on the ground per game.
Senior Matt VandeBerg is poised to have himself a big game here as he and Beathard have become quite the connection.
