Two struggling ACC teams that are looking to take a giant step toward bowl eligibility when the Louisville Cardinals take on the Wake Forest Demon Deacons Friday night.
Wake Forest comes in losers of 2 in a row after getting to the .500 mark as they dropped to NC State last week 35-17.

Louisville held on against Boston College 17-14 last week in a defensive struggle.
Louisville
The Cardinals had much more aspirations that fighting for their bowl game lives heading into this season. However, things really haven’t gone according to plan as they sit under .500 and need to find 3 wins down this stretch of the season to grab bowl eligibility.
Louisville got a much needed win last week against Boston College 17-14 in a game that saw their run game be the most effective.

QB Lamar Jackson rushed for 15 yards and touchdown while RB Reggie Bonnafon tacked on 56 yards on the ground.
The major key for Louisville that leads to their success is getting off the field on third downs. The Cardinals forced Boston College into a success rate of just 1 of 14 on 3rd downs.
With that, Louisville lead the TOP by nearly 10 minutes.
Wake Forest
The Demon Deacons come in losers of 2 in a row and their bowl chances are quickly slipping away from them. Wake Forest dug themselves a giant hole early on and with just no firepower offensively, they just couldn’t get themselves out.
QB Kendall Hilton finished 12 of 22 for just 107 yards and had no touchdowns or interceptions. Hilton just hasn’t been able to get anything going on a consistent basis with his arm.
His success comes when he gets out of the pocket and runs the ball. Hilton finished with 75 yards on 13 rushes and found the end zone twice with his legs. Look for Wake Forest to put in more playcalls involving him rolling the pocket and taking off.

Along with Hilton, QB John Wolford is expected to get some playing time. Wake Forest has been doing this two QB system a lot this season as Wolford is a pocket passer, while Hilton is a runner.
Wolford has thrown for 1012 yards on the season with 6 touchdowns, but also has 5 interceptions to his name.
