The curse is finally over for the Texas A&M Aggies as they recorded their first win of the season after the collapse at the Rose Bowl two weeks ago. Even though it wasn’t the prettiest win, it’s time to change the mode in Texas.
On the other side, The Ragin Cajuns suffered their first loss of the season as they will be looking to bounce back against a Texas team who is heavily favored.
Louisiana-Lafayette Ragin’ Cajuns
The Louisiana-Lafeyette Ragin’ Cajuns are going to need a long week of practice after their shootout loss against Tulsa.

In their 66-42 loss to Tulsa, quarterback Jordan Davis slightly improved from Week 1 as he completed 21 of his 32 passes for 309 yards and a pair of touchdowns. However the one interception turned into points for Tulsa.
Once again captain Trey Ragas had a career day receiving the ball. The Cajuns might be improving their passing game, only because their running game is nowhere to be in sight. Ragas led the team with 130 yards on 11 catches with a lone touchdown.
Ragas was not the only player to led the receiving attack. Elijah Mitchel added another 84 yards on through the air with his 8 receptions.

On the poor running game topic, Jordan Davis totaled 60 yards on his team-high 14 carries. If the Cajuns want to come close to the Aggies Saturday, they must be able to run the ball.
On the defensive side, the defense let a whopping 667 total yards of offense as most of that was on the ground. Tulsa had a field day running the ball for 424 rushing yards.
Texas A&M Aggies
It’s over! The Texas A&M Aggies bounced back from their week 1 failure at the Rose Bowl by capturing their first win of the season against Nicholls state. The final score was 24-14 as backup quarterback Kellen Mond did the best he could.
Mond threw for 105 yards and a lone touchdown on his 12 of 21 passing attempts. However it was not good enough for the Aggies as they switched out Mond for Hubenak throughout the game. Hubenak completed 12 of his 15 pass attempts for 93 yards.
It was a mess at the quarterback situation, but the running game was still in tact as Kendall Bussey put up 97 yards on his 15 carries.
Another running back Trayveon Williams added on another 53 rushing yards on his 11 touches.

On the defense, Texas A&M had a pair of fumbles and sacks which helped seal the win for the Aggies. The team only allowed 338 yards of offense, which they nearly gave all that up in one-quarter against the Bruins.

Free Week 3 NCAA Football Pick
Texas A&M needs to settle down on a quarterback as the injury to their captain is hurting them right now. But they might still run over the Cajuns even with their problems.
4* Free NCAA Betting Pick: Ragin Cajuns +24
If Texas A&M let Nicholls State hang around until the 4th quarter, I don’t see any problem with the Ragin Cajuns being close in the game. Heck, they might be winning it for a good chunk of the game.
It’s going to be a shootout, as the Cajuns will stay close until the Aggies slow down the running game.
