This SEC matchup features Kentucky heading on the road to face the Volunteers in Knoxville.

Kentucky lost a close game to the Georgia Bulldogs last week, while Tennessee beat up on Tennessee Tech 55-0.
Kentucky Wildcats
Stephen Johnson played poorly against the Bulldogs last week, going only 10-20 for 103 yards and an interception.
His inaccuracy is overshadowing very strong play by his offensive line.
This season he has been sacked only 13 times in 166 passing attempts (7%). Going up a very good Volunteers defense I expect him to struggle for the second straight game.
Stanley “Boom” Williams has been one of the most consistent backs in the SEC this year. He is averaging just under 100 yards per game and is coming off of a good performance against the Bulldogs.
The junior carried the ball 15 times for 77 yards and a score.
Through Kentucky’s last 4 games he is also averaging over 7 yards per carry. He will need to continue his high level of play if the Wildcats have any shot at upsetting Tennessee. I expect him to get 20+ touches and reach 125 yards on the ground.

Benjamin Snell Jr, is the other productive back in the Wildcats backfield.
The true freshman is averaging 110 yards per game on the ground, and has reached the end zone 10 times. He has three straight games with over 100 yards rushing and has scored 5 touchdowns.
He is a threat to take each carry to the house and I expect huge numbers from him as well. This will be his 4th straight game with a score.
Tennessee Volunteers
After a rough 3 game stretch during the Volunteers losing streak, Joshua Dobbs was clearly going to have a better game against Tennessee Tech. He threw 3 touchdowns and no interceptions in the “guaranteed win” game.
He faces a Wildcats defense this week that shut down Jacob Eason last week, surrendering only one touchdown pass to the #1 QB recruit in the country. Look for Dobbs scrambling ability to be the difference in this one.
Jalen Hurd’s transfer left a hole in the backfield for coach Butch Jones.
He decided to go with John Kelly and he responded with a 100 yard effort. The talented sophomore will see the bulk of the carriers for the duration of the season.
Kentucky’s inability to stop the run against Georgia last week shows me that Kelly won’t have any issues finding holes to run through.

Receiver Josh Malone had his best game of the season last week, catching 5 passes for 112 yards and 2 scores. He went 4 games without a score and his performance against an FCS opponent will be viewed with a grain of salt.
The talent level on the defensive side of the ball takes a huge leap forward in this one.
His game breaking ability will come into question this week against a tough Wildcats secondary. If he can beat the safeties deep then expect a big game from him.
