The last week of the regular season will include an in-state rivalry in Kentucky that is much more meaningful than it has been in the past.
The Kentucky Wildcats will make the trip from Lexington to Louisville to take on the Cardinals in this SEC vs. ACC matchup.
Both teams have exceeded expectations this year and hope to finish the regular season with a win.

The Wildcats are coming off a 49-13 blowout win over Austin Peay last week.
However, they lost the previous two games to SEC foes Tennessee and Georgia. They are currently in 4th place in the SEC East.
The #11 Louisville Cardinals have blown everyone away this year, but they stumbled for the second time this year last week against Houston.
They are in 2nd place in the ACC Atlantic.
Kentucky Wildcats
Kentucky surprised many people this year by winning four games against conference opponents.
They are perennially towards the bottom of the SEC but managed to reach 1st place in the division at one point and actually looked as though they could compete in the East.
They were recently brought back to earth, losing 27-24 to Georgia and 49-36 to Tennessee, but did get a cupcake win last week against Austin Peay.

The strength of the Kentucky offense has been the run game, ranking 16th in the nation in rushing yards per game.
However, they are 62nd in total offense, 111th in passing and 60th in scoring, putting up 30.1 ppg.
Their defense has been less than impressive, and they come into this one ranked 85th in yards allowed, 40th vs the pass, 107th vs the run and 79th in points allowed, giving up 30.5 ppg.
Louisville Cardinals
Louisville’s National Championship hopes may have gone out the window after last week’s loss to Houston.
Before the loss, they were ranked 5th in the CFB rankings and would have most likely been the first team in after the Ohio State-Michigan game.
Now, they would need a lot of help but are most likely playing for a New Year’s Bowl.

There is nothing I can say about Lamar Jackson that has not been said already, so we’ll just stick to the facts.
For the year, Jackson has thrown for 3109 yards, with 28 TDs and just six INTs, while also rushing for 1367 yards and another 19 TDs.
He leads the best offense in the country, ranked 1st in the nation in total offense, 15th in passing, 12th in rushing and 1st in scoring, putting up 48.0 ppg.
On the other side of the ball, the Cardinals come in ranked 7th in total yards allowed, 26th vs the pass, 6th vs the run and 24th in points allowed.

We all know who is going to win this game, but 26 points is a lot to win by against a team that was legitimately competitive in the SEC East this year.
These are not the Wildcats of previous years.
They still have a long way to go before they could actually defeat a team of Louisville’s caliber, but they are on the right track.
4* Free NCAA Betting Pick: Kentucky +26.0
Over the past few weeks, Lamar Jackson has been proven to be human, and some weaknesses have been exposed on both sides of the ball for Louisville.
The Cardinals are still a great team, but Kentucky plays similarly to Houston (who defeated Louisville handily last week) and should have some success on offense.
