After being handed their first loss of the season, you can imagine that West Virginia will be eager to get back out on the field and regain their form.

The defense had been great all season but was exploited last week yet shouldn’t be tested similarly as Kansas’s offense has struggled all season long.
Kansas Jayhawks
Kansas is averaging 19.4 points per game on the season and only 10 points per game in the last three.
The steps their offense took forward against TCU and Texas Tech have disappeared in the last three games.
Kansas dropped last week’s matchup to Oklahoma 56-3 on the road where they let Baker Mayfield throw for 4 touchdowns in the first 36 minutes of the game.
Montell Cozart played quarterback last week for the Jayhawks as they have rotated between him and Ryan Willis throughout the year.
Kansas has lost 7 straight games and is still looking for their first Big 12 win since November 8th, 2014.

Their already struggling offense will be tasked with facing the 2nd best scoring defense in the Big 12.
The Mountaineers have allowed 17 or fewer points in 4 games this season and don’t expect Kansas to surpass that mark as they have failed to break 20 points 5 times this season.
Their run game has been equally as poor as the passing game – averaging just 3.1 yards per carry. Their 123rd ranked scoring offense can’t be blamed at just their quarterback play – it is a team effort, or lack thereof.
West Virginia Mountaineers
With Baylor and Oklahoma both coming to Morgantown, it started to become increasingly possible that West Virginia could be the Big 12 champion.
And despite their loss last week, that possibility still remains with Baylor dropping their game to Texas last week as well.
However, there are other games left on West Virginia’s schedule and if they don’t take care of business – like they didn’t last week – then their 6-0 start could be worth very little.
The Mountaineers won at Kansas last season by the score of 49-0 and will be hoping for a similar result to get their momentum back.

Their defense slipped up last week after being mostly dominant up to this point. Yet, that was against Oklahoma State – an offense that is far more dangerous that Kansas’s.
West Virginia should have no problems with Kansas as they are far better in all aspects of the game. This will be a telling game though for Dana Horgensen’s bunch to see how they respond to a loss.
The only thing stopping this from being a blowout is if the Mountaineers look past the Jayhawks.
But after a loss, I wouldn’t expect that to happen as the defense will be looking to regain their pride after being knocked around and the offense will be paying closer attention to detail after three turnovers cost them the game against Oklahoma State.

Free Week 10 NCAA Football Prediction
Kansas’s offense is very poor and the West Virginia defense will be looking to prove something after getting beat up last week. I like the Mountaineers to prevail easily but for the game to stay under.
4* Free NCAA Betting Pick: Game Total Under 53.5
The Jayhawk offense could potentially get shutout and their defense is decent enough to keep West Virginia from putting up enough for the game to go over.
