This is a big game as this is the conference opener for both Houston and Tulsa. This game will go a long way in determining who competes with the Memphis Tigers for the Western division title in the American Athletic Conference.
Houston Cougars
Junior quarterback Greg Ward Jr. has led his team to an undefeated record including a road win over the Louisville Cardinals in their second game of the season.

Ward has completed 75% of his passes throwing for eight touchdowns and one interceptions. Ward has also done damage on the ground as he has ran for 290 yards and four touchdowns.
The Cougars are fine offensive, defensively they have struggled as they gave up 24 points to an FCS school in Tennessee Tech and 31 points to the Louisville Cardinals who have had their fair share of problems.
The Tulsa Golden Hurricane’s are a very explosive offense that nobody has been able to stop; not even the Oklahoma Sooners at home were able to slow them down.

Looking ahead for Houston, if they win this game they are in good shape to be a darkhorse to win the West. SMU, Cincinnati, Memphis, and Navy all will be coming to Houston. The Cougars couldn’t ask for a more ideal situation.
Tulsa Golden Hurricane
After a miserable 2-10 season last year, the Tulsa Hurricanes made a change at head coach. The Hurricanes hired Baylor offensive coordinator Phil Montgomery and he has turned things around as Tulsa has already matched their win total from last season.
Montgomery has made Tulsa into an offensive power powerhouse. Tulsa is 16th in the nation in scoring offense, 6th in passing offense, 73th in rushing offense, and 4th in total offense.
Junior quarterback Dane Evans isn’t making mistakes and distributing the ball to his playmakers. Senior wide receiver Keyarris Garrett has 26 receptions for 454 yards and junior wide receiver Keevan Lucas is averaging 119 yards per game to go along with five touchdowns.

Like Houston, Tulsa has struggled defensively and they should have a lot of problems stopping Greg Ward Jr. and the Houston Cougars offense. Tulsa has given up 39 points per game along with just under 7 yards per offensive snap.

Free Week 5 NCAA Football Prediction
This will be a high scoring game back and forth game. The kind of game that whoever has the ball last will probably win. The over looks nice, but the best bet is Tulsa at +9.5. There is a lot of value on a home underdog that can score at will. Tulsa’s offense will keep them in the game and they are a live underdog straight up.
