Georgia Tech is looking to become bowl eligible, while the Hokies have won 3 in a row.
Georgia Tech Yellow Jackets
Justin Thomas had a pretty pedestrian game by his standards in the loss to the Tar Heels.
The senior QB was 5-10 for 184 yards and a touchdown, while also running the ball 15 times for 82 yards.
He will need to be more accurate throwing the ball, and it was very surprising to see him only throw the ball 10 times while they were down late.
He goes up against a talented Hokies defense this week, so look for him to have similar numbers in this game.
Dedric Mills turned in his best performance of the season against a good Tar Heels defense. He finished the game with 19 carries for 132 yards and a touchdown. For the season he is averaging over 5 yards per carry and should get the bulk of the carries this week.
If he can get 20 touches expect over 100 yards on the ground for him.

Clinton Lynch is the other talented runner in the backfield. He has not had much success running the ball the last couple of weeks, but he has done his damage catching passes out of the backfield.
The junior tailback had an 81 yard touchdown catch last week, and has been huge for the passing game during the last 3 games. Expect him to make another big play catching the ball this week, which will bring his touchdown streak to 4 games.
Virginia Tech Hokies
ACC Offensive Player of the Year candidate Jerrod Evans had an average game last week against the Blue Devils. He was 15-27 for 192 yards, and ran the ball 18 times for 83 yards with a score.
His offensive line gave up 3 sacks, and will need to play better for the Hokies to avoid the upset. I expect Evans to bounce back and put up stellar numbers, and get 3 touchdowns on the day.
Travon McMillian bounced back from a horrible game the previous week against Pittsburgh, to beat up on the Duke defensive unit. He ran the ball 15 times for 72 yards and a score, and also caught 2 passes for 33 yards.
The running back shouldn’t have any trouble finding holes to run through in this game, and I expect him to get another 100 total yards this weekend.
Isaiah Ford turned in an OK game against Duke. He finished the day with 4 catches for 62 yards. The Yellow Jackets secondary just gave up 120 yards to the Tar Heels top receiver, so I’m expecting Ford to have a huge game and grab 2 scores.

The Va Tech defense had a tough time stopping the run last week, never a good recipe when playing against the Yellow Jackets triple option offense. This will come down to the front seven staying in their assignments.
If they can’t shut down the run early the Yellow Jackets can pull off the upset.
