Georgia Tech heads into Duke for an ACC match up and while they are coming off a loss in their last game it was to a top 10 Notre Dame team. The Yellow Jackets are a 7.5-road favorite in this game.
Duke is also sitting at 2-1 and they also lost to a ranked team in their last game falling to Northwestern 19-10.
This is the ACC opener for both teams.

Last season at Georgia Tech the Blue Devils beat the Yellow Jackets 31-25, but Tech still won the ACC Coastal Division crown before losing to Florida State in the conference title game.
Georgia Tech
The one big question for the Blue Devils in this game is can they stop a Georgia Tech rushing attack that ranks 2nd in the nation and averaged 377 rushing yards per game?
Tech has 4 players that have at least 100 rushing yards led by Marcus Marshall (221 yards 2 TD) and Patrick Skov (188 yards 5 TD).
The Yellow Jackets do not air it out much, as QB Justin Thomas has only attempted 37 passes on the season and he is the 4th leading rusher on the squad.

It is not a surprise that Duke is the home favorite even though they beat Georgia Tech last season. The Blue Devils are giving up an average of less than 100 rushing yards per game, but in the loss to Northwestern they gave up 210 including a 55-yard TD on a 3rd and 1 situation.
Duke had a balanced game on offense in their loss to Northwestern with 150 passing yards and 177 rushing yards, but they turned the ball over 3 times. Thomas Sirk was decent in the game, but he did not have a TD pass and he threw a pick.
Shaquille Powell and Thomas Sirk combined for 132 rushing yards in the loss last week and if they can run the ball well against Tech they have a chance.
The Georgia Tech defense was less than impressive in the loss to Notre Dame where they gave up 30 points, 242 yards passing, and 215 yards rushing.

Georgia Tech is 4-1 ATS in their last 5 games against the Blue Devils at Duke.

4* Free NCAA Betting Pick: Georgia Tech -7.5
This game will not be a blowout, but Tech’s rushing attack is too strong and they will win on the road, cover the spread, and start the ACC season 1-0.
