Clemson is coming off a big win last week over Notre Dame and has to avoid “Clemsoning” this week against Georgia Tech.
The Yellow Jackets have been one of the big disappointments of the season with a losing record to date – including 0-2 in the conference.

Last year GT got an easy win at home, dominating 28-6. Clemson will look to return the favour.
Georgia Tech
Georgia Tech started the season ranked and now they are under .500. The question is which team are they really. A win here and they could be back in business in the ACC Coastal.
As the competition has stiffened the Yellow Jackets have struggled to get their offense untracked, losing three straight as favourites. If they can get their running game going though…

Even though this is a run first offense they need QB Justin Thomas to be better. He has not been very effective as a runner this season and it looks like it might be affecting his throwing as well. They need him to tighten up both.
Last week in losing to UNC they let Marquise Williams do too much damage. I like him a lot but he is not nearly as good as the Tigers DeShaun Watson. If they let him run all over them too the results will be similar.
They are capable of pulling the upset though if they get their game back and start executing.
Clemson
The key to Clemson has to be taking things one game at a time. Last week’s win over the Irish was big but there are a few more mountains to climb.
Right now Clemson is one of the more balanced offenses in the nation. That is not a bad thing but I think they were hoping for more explosiveness. Especially from Watson.
Sometimes he seems to avoid mistakes more than gunning for big plays

Thus far the Clemson defense, with a slew of new starters has held up. They have to be worried though that GT ran for more than 300 yards on them last year, with a defense that sent several players to the NFL.
How well they can control the GT option will determine who wins and how close this one is going to be.

Free Week 6 NCAA Football Prediction
I was high on Georgia Tech preseason and am having trouble letting go of those beliefs. Perhaps I shouldn’t but I am going to back them again on Saturday as an underdog.
4* Free NCAA Betting Pick: Georgia Tech ATS
I am sure this is a good Clemson team but I don’t think they are elite. I am hoping they will have a bit of a let down in this spot.
