The Fresno State Bulldogs are coming off an impressive 49 – 27 home win over Toledo. Marcus McMaryion is gaining confidence with each game, as the Bulldog QB had quite a nice game against the Rockets.
McMaryion put up 388 yards with 4 passing TDs in the win, which now has the Bulldogs with 3 wins and 1 loss on the campaign.

Nevada has alternated wins and losses through three games of the new season. The Wolfpack are coming off a nice win at Air Force last weekend, 28 – 25, but it might have come at a cost.
Nevada starting QB Ty Gangi is listed as questionable this weekend with a leg injury. He finished the game against Air Force, but apparently he could miss this game against Fresno State.
Fresno State Bulldogs
Marcus McMaryion hit 10 different receivers in their 49 – 24 win last weekend over Toledo. The momentum swung towards Fresno State as the first half was coming to a close. With 2:20 left in the first half, the game was 21 – 13 and Fresno with the lead Fresno’s defense stepped up big at the right time, got the ball back in McMaryion’s hands, and one play later it was 28 – 13.

A 21-point unanswered third quarter ended all hopes for Toledo at that point, as Fresno took a 49 – 13 lead to the 4th quarter.
Fresno also had 8 different players run the ball in the win, which is something we do not see too often. That was simply a complete team win if there ever was one.
Nevada Wolfpack
Should QB Ty Gangi be unable to strap on the helmet on Saturday, there is not much experience to call off the bench. Kaymen Cureton could get the call, although Cristian Solano will be a consideration as well. Wolfpack Head Coach Jay Norvell will have to decide which of his young QBs could have the biggest impact this weekend.
The defense certainly stepped up last weekend against Air Force, Nevada forced 2 fumbles, had three tackles for loss while giving up its lowest amount of total yards over the past 7 years.

The line setters are apparently aware that Ty Gangi might be a no-go for this game.
Nevada was listed at +10 on the early line, and it is already up to 12.5 at certain books. We still show -12 as it stands on this Tuesday afternoon.

Free Week 6 NCAA Football Pick
The obvious impact of Nevada QB Ty Gangi’s injury will certainly effect the Wolfpack offense.
The bigger problem the Wolfpack have is on the defensive end of the field. Nevada played that same Toledo Rockets squad a week before Fresno State, and Toledo handed the Wolfpack a beat down, 63 – 44.

Fresno State is going to have a field day with the Nevada Wolfpack defense. The Bulldogs have a defense that would have still given Ty Gangi quite a tough time, and it could get worse should he be out.
Marcus McMaryion and #22 Jordan Mims should once again be hooking up for some big plays. Mims caught 6 balls for 126 yards in the Bulldog win over Toledo last weekend.
