The Gators brought in a new coach and are trying to get back into the conversation of the best teams in the SEC and nationally. To do so they have to start handling games like this easily again.
Nobody is thinking that Kentucky is at that level either but the consensus is that they are a lot better than most people think.

Last year the Gators needed overtime to beat the Wildcats.
Florida
If the SEC is so great how come so many teams don’t have legitimate starting quarterbacks. Its fascinating isn’t it?
Even though the Gators put up 92 points over their first two games they still do not know if they have a quarterback that can consistently lead a productive offense. Starter Will Grier may have some nice numbers to start the year but the bulk of those figures came against New Mexico State.
And Treon Harris has similar numbers as well.
The defense has been super stingy against the run this season, giving up less than 30ypg on the ground. That won’t last forever and they are potentially missing their best defensive player if CB Vernon Hargreaves III does not suit up.

Fans might think the Gators are moving in the right direction but I don’t think we have seen any definitive evidence of that just yet. Hence the small number in this one.
Kentucky
Kentucky football is never going to rival the basketball program but this is looking like a strong season on the gridiron. Last week they visited South Carolina and won on the road.
The schedule does not get any easier with visits from Florida and Mizzou the next couple of weeks. A split would be great and this is the week to get the victory.
Unlike a lot of SEC teams the Wildcats know what they have at QB in Patrick Towles. The burly senior is not the most mobile QB out there but he will hang in there to make a play and does a good job keeping his team in the game.

This is the best UK ha matched up against the Gators in a long time. If they can stay balanced and make the plays that are in front of them an upset is a real possibility.
I am betting that the crowd is going to be feeling that too so you can expect a really good atmosphere on Saturday night.

Free Week 3 NCAA Football Prediction:
Florida will eventually be Florida again but I am not confident we are going to see that kind of team this weekend. They are definitely ripe for the upset so take the Wildcats plus the points.
4* Free NCAA Betting Pick: Kentucky +3.5
The difference at QB will be the deciding factor. If Towles makes fewer mistake the Wildcats win
