The Arizona State Sun Devils are coming off a big-time win over the then-ranked No. 7 UCLA Bruins. ASU took down UCLA 38-23.

The Colorado Buffaloes are coming off a 41-24 home loss to the Oregon Ducks.
Both squads are 3-2 at this point in the season, but it’s the Sun Devils who enter this contest as 15-point favorites.
Colorado
So far this season, Colorado has been anything but a safe bet. Despite their 3-2 record straight up, they’re just 2-3 against the spread.
[dfads params=’groups=226&limit=1&return_javascript=1′]
Up to this point, Colorado has focused heavily on the ground game on the offensive side of the ball. Their 272 rushing-yards-per-game average puts them in the No. 13 spot in the country.
Defensively, the Buffaloes’ defense will have a solid chance of being productive in this one if it can take advantage of a few matchups. Believe it or not, Colorado is the most productive team in the country in terms of stopping opponents’ passing attacks.
The Buffaloes have also found success by forcing 2.2 turnovers per game, which is good enough for the No. 19 spot in the nation.
Arizona State
Considering Colorado’s success in defending the pass, don’t be shocked if (and likely when) the Sun Devils hit the ground running (pun intended) in the rushing attack.
So far on the year, ASU is averaging 169.2 yards per game.
That number is only good enough for 70th in the nation compared to 34th in their passing game, but if matchups are taken into consideration, adjustments will be made and the plan of attack will shift to the ground.
Although Arizona State has a decent win-loss record so far in 2015, the team has really struggled against the spread. So far this year, the team is just 1-4 in that category.
[dfads params=’groups=219&limit=1&return_javascript=1′]
One area Arizona State has excelled this year is avoiding penalties. The team is No. 7 in the country in that category, as it’s averaged just 35 penalty yards per contest.
