This is an important Thursday Nighter in the AAC. The Bearcats are on the road but they probably need the win more as they are already 0-1 in conference play.
Building on last year Memphis is a favourite in the AAC West. Still a lot of people don’t know what to make of this emerging team.
Last year Memphis went on the road and spanked the Bearcats 41-14. It might have been their most impressive win of the season.

Cincinnati will be out for revenge in this one and the perfect time to get it is when everybody is tuned in. I won’t call this a rivalry game but their could be some heat.
Cincinnati
He may not get a ton of press (now) but the Bearcats have one of the best quarterbacks in the nations in Gunner Kiel. He was terrible in their loss to Temple with four interceptions and is questionable to play against Memphis with a head injury.
If he is not able to go it will likely be Hayden Moore getting the call and even though they have a great receiving group it might be too much to expect him to come through on such a big stage.
Cincinnati may be able to get by on offense with their three heading running attack of Tion Green, Hosey Williams and Mike Boone. All have more than 200 yards and the team is 24th in rushing the football so far.
[dfads params=’groups=226&limit=1&return_javascript=1′]
Even though they are facing high calibre competition in practice the Bearcats are struggling in games with their pass defense. Even when they are playing with the lead they need this group to be a lot more stout.
I wouldn’t recommend betting on this game until you know the status of Kiel. I think the odds are figuring he is out. It is not even on the board in some places.
Memphis
Memphis begins their pursuit of a second league title (shared last year) Thursday night. So far they have acquitted themselves pretty well, crushing an FCS opponent and winning two games on the road against Kansas and Bowling Green.
Since their recent success has stemmed from strong defense they have to be a little concerned about the 41 points they gave up last week to the Falcons. They had no answers for the Bowling Green passing attack which netted 443 yards through the air. Cincinnati should be excited.
Their own offense has shown some growth though, especially monster QB Paxton Lynch. He was not needed in their opener but in their last two games he has thrown for more than 350 yards in each with 5 TDs and no interceptions.

The defense is likely to come around but it looks like the Tigers have more offensive punch with Lynch getting better every week.

Free Week 4 NCAA Football Prediction
Cincinnati usually sneaks up on you but they have not gotten off to a great start. With their QB potentially out I don’t feel comfortable backing the Bearcats in an underdog role.
4* Free NCAA Betting Pick: Memphis -9
With a little more offense the Tigers are a nice play. Plus they should be fired up for a prime time game. (not sure they have ever had one)
