Buckle up sunshine, because we have ourselves an extremely meaningful game in prime time on Saturday night.
The Cincy Bearcats and UCF Knights are likely to be involved in an instant classic this weekend, as they each strive to take a division title. Temple will have their say in factoring in to how it all plays out, but this game will have the attention of a nationwide audience on ABC at 8 p.m.
Cincinnati’s defense has simply been outstanding in 2018, and they drew more attention after the shout out of Navy. Keeping Naval Academy teams completely off the scoreboard is quite an impressive feat, as history shows.

While the Bearcat defense tries to pump their chests out, UCF can boast their 22-game win streak entering this weekend. The Knights got past Navy last weekend, 35 – 24, to improve to 9 – 0 this season to add to their perfect 13 – 0 campaign last year.
McKenzie Milton might not be as much of a factor in the Heisman watch as he was entering the season. He has missed one game, and it looks as if the toll from being such a factor in the run game could be mounting on him. He certainly didn’t let it show in last weekend’s win over Navy, going 17 for 21 with 200 yards passing, while adding 62 yards on 7 carries. Milton accounted for 3 scores overall, while improving his season total trips to the house to 29.
Milton might expect to be taking some hits this weekend, and the Bearcats know he has not been 100% all season. Milton, of course, missed the East Carolina game, and has come out of two games this season as well. The bumps and bruises of being a two-way QB can take a toll on any player, and that’s just a fact, jack!
Cincinnati Bearcats
The Bearcat defense ranks 5th in the nation in total yards allowed (277.4), and 7th in the nation in points allowed (14.9). Their statement win over Navy, 52 – 0 two weekend’s ago certainly garnered them even more attention than they might have already achieved.
There will be plenty of NFL scouts, GM’s and Owners alike, seeking notes and evaluations of what they took from watching this defense in person. Make no mistake that there will be some NFL representation from both of these squads over time. Games like these are what makes people remember you, for more than just one game. but for years of stories to come.
You can imagine that someone took a look at the lines, and told the Bearcats that they can’t even keep this game within a touchdown, being +7.5 underdogs in Orlando.
The Knights will likely have to face a good dose of Cats RB Michael Warren II. who is over 1,000 yards on the campaign. Warren has found the end zone 17 times on the ground, and has an additional TD is the passing game. He has raised his stock this season by proving he can be effective in the passing game, having 21 catches on the year as well. That is good for 4th on the team this season in receptions, adding 195 yards to the mix with that score of his.
Is anyone else still amazed that Desmond Ridder is a freshmen? I mean my goodness kid, feel free to go out and have yourself a decent campaign, right? He has 15 TD passes and only 5 picks on the year, and has gained almost 500 yards on the ground with 5 more scores. At 6′ 4″ and with mobility to go with an arm, your team might find a way to win some games.

UCF Knights
This should be an epic game that comes down to the wire. I see that +7.5 as the best option to cash a 4* ticket.
[dfads params=’groups=219&limit=1&return_javascript=1′]
The Bearcats only loss came in OT at Temple, and they know that a win and a Temple loss to South Florida could provide an interesting final weekend on AAC play coming up. The +7.5 is too good of a line to leave unattended, so buckle those seat belts, and strap in for a great contest.

Free Week 12 NCAA Football Pick
The 4* play is the Bearcats to cover the +7.5 line. Their defense should be able to come up with some important stops, and they will do all they can to make sure Milton is hit for every attempt he makes to run the ball.
