This MAC game has two teams heading in opposite directions. Central Michigan ended a two-game losing streak last week beating Ball St. by 3 points. Northern Illinois was beaten soundly by the Western Michigan Broncos.
This should be a good offensive game as the Huskies defense has given up at least 24 points in every game this season.
Central Michigan Chippewas
Quarterback Cooper Rush has taken a beating the last two weeks.
[dfads params=’groups=220&limit=1&return_javascript=1′]
He was sacked 8 times for 47 yards in the week 5 loss to Western Michigan, and last week he was sacked 5 times for 46 yards. If the Chippewas are going to have any shot in this game they must keep him upright.
I look for him to throw for 250 yards and 3 scores against the Huskies.
Running back Devon Spalding has gotten better each week this season.
Last week against Ball St. he had his best game so far with 23 carries for 157 yards and a score. I look for him to attack the Northern Illinois defense and get 125 yards on the ground this week.
Corey Willis bounced back with a strong game last week. In the week 6 matchup against the Cardinals he had 6 catches for 105 yards and a score.
The Huskie defense gave up over 300 yards passing last week, so expect the talented wideout to have a big game and get another score.

The Central Michigan run defense must do better this week against Northern Illinois.
They gave up two scores and 141 yards on the ground to Ball St. running back James Gilbert.
The passing defense forced 2 interceptions and sacked the QB twice last week. I wouldn’t be surprised if they got 3 sacks against a weak Northern Illinois line.
NIU Huskies
The last two weeks Anthony Maddie has been a threat with his legs. He ran for 111 yards on 17 carries and a score. He also threw for 224 yards. He will need to limit his turnovers as he had 2 last week.
The Central Michigan defense will have a tough time stopping him on the ground but should do enough to keep him out of a rhythm.
Joel Bouagnon has had 3 solid games in a row. Last week he had only 11 carries but was able to turn that into 59 yards rushing.
It wouldn’t be a surprise to see the Huskies offense use him and Maddie to control the tempo of the game and keep the Chippewa offense off the field as much as possible.
Kenny Golladay has been the star receiver for the Huskies. Last week he had 5 catches for 99 yards.
He should be able to exploit the Chippewas secondary for a few long gains and reach the 100 yard mark and get a score this week.

The Huskies defense hasn’t stopped anyone this season.
They have given up over 40 points in each loss this season and I expect this one to get ugly as the Central Michigan offense has been explosive for much of the season.
Look for defense to pick up 3 sacks but give up at least 30 points on the day.

Free Week 7 NCAA Football Prediction
The Central Michigan passing game is too much for the Huskies to stop, or keep up with. Cooper Rush has a huge game and this one is decided by halftime.
4* Free NCAA Betting Pick: Chippewas ATS
The Huskies defense has a long day and the Chippewas passing attack keeps this one out of reach early.
