Buffalo is coming off of its first loss of the year, losing to Army 42-13, but will look to get back on track against MAC bottom dwellers Central Michigan.

The Chippewas hung in there against Michigan State last weekend, but the result was the same for Central Michigan, another loss, their 4th on the year now.
Buffalo Bulls
Buffalo looks to be the darlings of the MAC so far this season, and they should be able to win on the road in Mount Pleasant this Saturday against the Chippewas.
The offense seemed to sputter last week against the Black Knights behind QB Tyree Jackson, who decided to try to get the job done with his arms instead of his legs. Jackson didn’t even attempt a single rush throughout the game.

Prior to last weeks game against Army, the Bulls offense had been averaging 40.25 points per game. The 13 they put up last week should be thought of as an anomaly. They should be able to get back to their more potent offensive ways this week.
Central Michigan Chippewas
Even in defeat against a Power 5 school last week in Michigan State, the Chippewas should be very proud of themselves in not only busting the spread, but hanging with the Spartans for much of the game.
I’ve said it before, and I’ll say it again now, the Michigan State Spartans are not as good as the pollsters keep giving them credit for. Central Michigan played very well against them, which was probably their best played game all year.

The Chippewas had better figure out a way to put up some points on the board at home this weekend. Coming into the game the team is averaging a paltry 16 points a game, while giving up an average of 25.2. That doesn’t spell out a happy ending when facing a Bulls team that is averaging 34.8 points a game this year.
NCAA Football Handicapping Trends
- Central Michigan leads the head to head 7-1.
- Buffalo is 13-5 ATS in their last 18 games.
- Central Michigan is 12-6 scoring UNDER in their last 18 home games.
Free Week 6 NCAA Football Pick
With the spread set so low, maybe follow the trend above of Central Michigan scoring UNDER in their last couple of seasons of home games
4* Free NCAA Betting Pick: UNDER the points. Free ATS or O/U final score pick provided below!
Buffalo should win this game, and they should cover the spread, but I don’t like how small the spread is. I just wouldn’t trust the Bulls coming off of their lowest scoring game of the year for a blowout to occur.
Take the UNDER in this one for sure. Even if Buffalo does find its offensive groove again, I don’t see this game being a shootout.
