This has not been a great season for Boston College but if they can get a win this week they become bowl eligible, which is a big deal for a program trying to establish a reputation of being more than just a strong defensive unit.
They are coming off a 30-0 victory over UConn last week.

Wake Forest is having a better season than expected, though their expectations are not all that high.
They are bowl eligible but this game is still important because if they lose they will have the same record as BC and there might not be enough invitations to go around.
Boston College Eagles
This may be the last game of the season but the story has not changed all season long for Boston College.
They just can’t score. BC is averaging just under 20ppg and last year they were shutout against Wake Forest losing 3-0 (wow, that would have been a fun one to watch).
I think they will probably get on the board in this one but they will need Patrick Towles to build off his best game of the season last week.
Overall he has been a disappointment but he can make a big impact in this one.

Boston College with an average offense would most likely be a better than .500 program. The offense is definitely below that mark and this season the defense has not been as sharp.
They are rock solid against the run though – 7th in the nation – and they would probably have better overall numbers if they had not gotten trounced by the three elite teams ni their division.
Wake Forest Demon Deacons
This game could definitely be similar to that 3-0 stunner from a year ago because Wake Forest is pretty inept on offense too.
QB John Wolford kind of got the job by default with the early injury to sophomore Kendall Hinton. Hinton was a running threat though they do like to run it with Wolford too.
He should be back this week replacing freshman Kyle Kearns who they basically threw to the Wolves against Clemson last week.
Talk about a baptism by fire, it wasn’t pretty but at least he did not throw a pick.

I am not sure what really changed but Wake Forest has been much better on defense this season.
Like BC they did not put much pressure on the big boys but they held that same trio below their season averages by being tough on D – they only gave up 17 points in Tallahassee.
They are going to get a chance to flex their muscles in this one as the BC offense is nothing to fear.

Free Week 13 NCAA Football Prediction
Somebody has to win this one, even if neither team deserves it, right? BC has more to play for but they are pretty limited so expecting much more than last year’s result might be too much.
It might be amazing if one of these teams actually put a couple of TDs on the board.
4* Free NCAA Betting Pick: Under 36
I know that total looks gross but so do these offenses, usually. Neither team has good quarterback play and both defenses will guard against getting too exposed.
Throw in what could very likely be a sloppy field and it is easy to see why the total is set so low and why the under could still be the play.
