The Bears started hot but are heading into this one having lost four in a row. Given the state of the program it is hard to know if there is any motivation left.
They have already qualified for a bowl game and this is on the heels of Thanksgiving so a flat effort would not be a shock. Surprised they are favoured.

Things are even worse for Texas Tech, and without the off the field distractions.
They have lost six of their last seven and a win here will neither get them to a bowl nor save their coach’s job (sorry but I think Kingsbury is done).
Their all offense no defense approach just isn’t working.
Baylor Bears
This has been an interesting season to say the least in Waco. Early on it looked like business as usual with the offense humming and putting up yard and points with ease.
Lately the yards have kept coming but they have not been able to put up the points as expected.
Making matters worse is that QB Seth Russell is out for the rest of the season. Backup Zach Smith is just a freshman and has played like it.
RB Shock Linwood looks like he is back in the team’s good graces and gives the Bears a two headed rush attack with Terrence Williams.

The Bears defense is good enough…at times. Over their four game losing streak they have given up at least 35 points in every game and their offense is not good enough this season to support that.
The Bears have won five straight against Texas Tech, winning high scoring games every time.
If they want to push that streak to 6 that is likely to be the best way to go about it.
Texas Tech Red Raiders
Most stories about Texas Tech start with offense but this year it is all about the defense. Only one team in the nation is giving up more than their 44.3 points per game.
I know the B12 is an offense first league but you have to be able to stop somebody. Even Iowa State, hardly the most impressive offense group scored 66 points against Tech last week.
It is that kind of result that just might have pushed the program to the edge in terms of looking for a new coach.
This year will likely match the low of two seasons ago in terms of wins but things feel worse in Lubbock.

The offense can and will move the ball against anybody.
This is the top passing team in the country and Patrick Mahomes II is having as good a season directing the Air Raid attack as any I can remember.
Mahomes is not a true running threat with just 291 yards on the ground but only three QBs have more rushing TDs than his 12.
You can easily make a case that he is the most prolific QB in the nation.

Free Week 13 NCAA Football Prediction
It is an interesting commentary on how bad things have gotten for Texas Tech that they are not favourites, though I guess this is not a true home game.
Given the location and timing I have no clue whether the crowd will be more Baylor or TT but I think the visitors are the play here.
4* Free NCAA Betting Pick: Baylor
The thing I trust most heading into this one is that Baylor and its offense will be able to move the ball against Texas Tech more than Texas Tech will be able to move the ball against Baylor.
The difference should lead to a victory of a touchdown or more. Decent value here.
