Can the ACC make it three years in a row sending a program to the postseason playoffs? Only time will tell, but both Florida State and Clemson look like promising programs to keep the streak alive.
The following is a look at a few of the top contenders to win the 2016 ACC Championship, along with their odds (via Bovada Sportsbook).
ACC Conference 2016 Odds: Clemson Tigers (+150)
Clemson or Florida State? It’s going to be a toss-up this season in terms of predicting an ACC champion.

If you give Clemson the edge in that debate, you’re not alone. There’s good reason to lean toward the Tigers. For starters, they have an edge at the quarterback position. Not only is Deshaun Watson back, but he has college football’s top receiving core around him.
Clemson also has running back Wayne Gallman to make plays, and it certainly doesn’t hurt that the offensive line has three starters returning from the 2015 campaign.
It’s easy to see this team going 11-1 during the regular season. The question is: Will that be good enough to beat out the Seminoles?
ACC Conference 2016 Odds: Florida State (+210)
Let’s get rid of the myster right now. Florida State could very well be an 11-1 team during the regular season as well.

The Seminoles were a 10-3 team last season, but with the right pieces in place and a likely improved campaign on the horizon, this is a group that can challenge for a national championship.
The catch, of course, is that the Seminoles must improve at the quarterback position. In 2015, the adjustment period was rough in the aftermath of Jameis Winston’s departure for the NFL.
This time around, the group has redshirt freshman Deondre Francois to push this team in the right direction.
It’s tough relying on a player who hasn’t seen a down of collegitate football yet, but if he’s anywhere near as good as he’s supposed to be, this team will have a player it can look to as the face of the organization.
ACC Conference 2016 Odds: Miami (+900)
Depending on where you look you’ll find split opinions on Miami or North Carolina as the Coastal Division champions. North Carolina offers a lot at this point in the process, but the odds are point Miami’s way with only a few weeks left until the season officially kicks off.
This season, Miami will introduce Mark Richt as first-year head coach. The hire was a sensible one, but you have to wonder if he’s the guy who can get this program to the next level right away or if there’s an adjustment period on the horizon.
Last year, the team went 8-5 overall with a 5-3 in-conference record. It lost to both Clemson and Florida State, but it has the luxury of avoiding the Tigers this season while playing host to the Seminoles on Oct. 8.
ACC Conference 2016 Odds: Louisville (+1000)
If you’re looking for a sleeper in the ACC, look no further than the Louisville Cardinals.

It’s no shocker that Clemson and Florida State are getting all the attention at this point in the process. After all, they are the two programs to make it to the first two years of the College Football Playoffs.
But while those teams deserve their praise, another group that should be getting more recognition is Louisville. The Cardinals could very well play the role of spoilers in the ACC this season.
Louisville carries momentum into 2016 after winning six of its final seven games last season. This group has to replace Sheldon Rankins, but it has a strong core that could help it take down one of the two powerhouses when the time comes.

ACC Conference: 2016 Prediction
Florida State +210. Clemson is the odds on favorite with the season rapidly approaching, but Florida State has home-field advantage against the Tigers this season, which could be all it needs to gain an edge with an ACC championship on the line.
