2019 Football Preview – Big Ten – Wolverines
Looking for 2019 Michigan Wolverines predictions? The Wolverines always have high expectations and it seems every year they fall short and a big reason is that they can’t find a way to beat the Ohio State Buckeyes. The expectations haven’t been lowered any this season.

Will this be the year that the Wolverines live up to the expectations? Or will they fall short again?
2019 Michigan Wolverines Predictions: Team Strengths
Strong Passing game: The Wolverines have done a good job recruiting wide receivers and that is paying off, and should this season.

Shea Patterson didn’t live up to the expectations last season but I think this is going to be a big bounce-back year for him.
Nico Collins and Donovan Peoples-Jones are back this year and they should be one of the best one-two punches in the Big Ten.
Experienced up front : The offensive line is going to be a major strength of this team and is one thing that has changed from years past.
Jon Runyan is one of the best-left tackles in all of football and this is a line that will be strong in the running and passing game.
If they are going to get to the college football playoffs a big reason is going to be how much success the offensive line has.
2019 Michigan Wolverines Predictions: Team Weaknesses
Ohio State: It seems like a weird weakness to have but at this point the struggles against the Buckeyes are all mental.

The team could be the best team in the country and it feels like when they play the Buckeyes they are going to find a way to make it all fall apart.
Maybe this is the season that they finally get over that hump and beat the Buckeyes but until I see it, that isn’t something I am betting on.
Red Zone defense: Last season one of the biggest issues for the Wolverines defense was when someone get into the Red Zone.
Opposing teams scored 93 percent of the time when they got into the Red Zone and that is something that needs to change this season.
If that can change this will be a very complete defense.
Michigan Wolverines Prediction: 10-2
The expectations are high again this season but I don’t see this being a season where they magically get over that hump and somehow live up to the expectations.

I think the Buckeyes will beat the Wolverines and they will lose another game they probably shouldn’t have early in the season.
It will still be a decent season for the Wolverines, but they won’t be getting to that college football playoff game like is the goal.
Maybe next season will be different for the Wolverines, but I don’t see it happening this year.
