2018 Football Preview – Big Ten – Hoosiers
Looking for 2018 Indiana Hoosiers predictions? The Hoosiers don’t have a strong history of football, and even though they finished with a 5-7 record last year, it was one of the best years in a long time and they will look to build on that this season, and a decent bowl game is a real possibility if a few things fall their way.

Will this be the year the Hoosiers finally make a name for themselves in the Big Ten again?
2018 Indiana Hoosiers Predictions: Team Strengths
Strong Recievers : Last year the big plays escaped them in the passing game and a big reason was they didn’t have Nick Westbrook who missed all of last season with an ACL.
Simmie Cobbs who was their star target is gone, but getting Westbrook back is an even more important move for the long term success of this team.
12 of the top 14 pass catchers are back from this team, so expect a lot more big plays to come through the air game this year.

Big Men Up Front: The offensive line was good not great last year, but all five starters are back this year, and they should be better this season.
They were a force on the ground opening up holes, and that should be no different this year, as the running game is going to be strength.
Look for the strength of the offensive to come from the big guys up front, and I expect this is going to be a fun year for the big men.
2018 Indiana Hoosiers Predictions: Team Weaknesses
Creating Turnovers: Last year the defense good, but there was one big glaring hole, creating turnovers and that has to change.
The defense only had five interceptions, and the fumble recoveries weren’t much better. They need to be more aggressive going for turnovers this year.
It doesn’t matter how good the defense is, if they don’t create turnovers this team won’t be making it to the bowl game they are shooting for.

Who’s running?: The offensive line is going to be good but they need someone to step up in the backfield to run the ball.
Since Tevin Coleman and Jordan Howard, the Hoosiers haven’t had a running back step up, and that needs to change soon.
Indiana Hoosiers Prediction: 6-6
The Indiana Hoosiers play in a tough Big Ten and that is going to hurt their chances at having an exceptional season, but I still think it can be a good one.

The Hoosiers will make their goal of getting to a bowl game, but I think it will take a big win in their last week against the Purdue Boilermakers.
