DAVE B’S YEAR END NFL POWER RANKINGS
The curtain has closed on another NFL Regular Season and what a year it was! There were overachievers, underachievers, season-changing injuries and some truly remarkable personal achievements that ensured that the Power Rankings were as fluid as ever in 2015-2016.

It’s time to look back at a tremendous season and to rank all teams from 1-32.
So where does your favorite team sit after another scintillating season on NFL Football? Let’s take a look.
1. Carolina Panthers
(15-1) Last Week – 2
No surprise here – the Panthers really have been the best team in the NFL all season long. There are zero holes on this squad! On Sunday they beat down an inferior Tampa team without Ted Ginn and Jonathan Stewart – both should be back for the playoffs.
Cam Newton will be the MVP for sure and the Panthers will be the team to beat for the Lombardi this year.

2. Arizona Cardinals
(13-3) Last Week – 1
The Cardinals delivered a total dud on Sunday – a 36-6 loss to the Seahawks. It may have been exactly what they needed. Am I worried – maybe a tad but I have faith that Arizona’s incredible offense and stout defense will prove that Sunday’s effort was the exception, not the rule.
To me, the Cards are the second best team in the NFL – no holes. They enter the playoffs with a huge chip on their shoulders as well – scary for the rest of the league.
3. New England Patriots
(12-4) Last Week – 3
The Patriots went just 2-4 in their last six games – uncharacteristic for this team. But they deserve the benefit of the doubt. They have two weeks to get healthy – time they could obviously use.
We should have all learned by now NOT to count out Bill Belichick and Tom Brady!
4. Kansas City Chiefs
(11-5) Last Week – 4
How about 10 straight wins to end the season – all without Jamaal Charles? The defense has been incredible all season long, the running game hasn’t missed a beat and Jeremy Maclin provided a receiving threat the Chiefs hadn’t seen in quite some time.
KC is legit folks – the hottest team in the NFL entering the playoffs.
5. Seattle Seahawks
(10-6) Last Week – 6
There are more than a few that buried the Seahawks six weeks ago but this team enters the playoffs looking scary after a 36-6 beatdown of a very good Arizona Cardinals team in the desert. Oh ya – they might get Marshawn Lynch back next week!
This group is experienced, they have a serious chip on their shoulders and they appear to be peaking at just the right time – an easy top 5 in my year-end Rankings.

6. Denver Broncos
(12-4) Last Week – 7
Well – you gotta give it up for the Denver Broncos – they didn’t hesitate bringing Peyton Manning in off the bench and it paid off in a win against San Diego and a first round bye.
We can’t be sure if Manning will remain the starter but with Denver’s defense, a seemingly reborn running game and two QBs that can get the job done, Denver’s arrow is pointing way up right now!
7. Minnesota Vikings
(11-5) Last Week – 5
I believe I said it in Week 3 – the Vikings will be the surprise team of 2015-2016 – a win at Lambeau on Sunday night cemented that status.
The NFC North champions have been solid, not spectacular all season long and have all the characteristics of a championship team – a great running game, a solid defense and undying belief.
I’m not sure how far they make it in the playoffs but the Vikes are a deserving #7 on the year-end Power Rankings.
8. Cincinnati Bengals
(12-4) Last Week 9
The Bengals finished the season 12-4 but I can’t consider them a serious contender until I know that Andy Dalton is fully healthy and ready to return. Even then I am a tad scared of what the Red Rocket might produce in the playoffs.
Cinci was great in the Regular Season again – let’s see how they far in the playoffs.
9. Green Bay Packers
(10-6) Last Week – 10
There are a lot of doubters in Packers nation and rightfully so! Green Bay’s O-line is a mess, the running game isn’t great, Aaron Rodgers can’t find any rhythm and there is nobody on the team that can go deep.
Still, at 10-6 the Pack are a top 10 team – anytime you have Mr. Rodgers lining up under center you will have that distinction!
10. Washington Redskins
(9-7) Last Week – 11
You absolutely have to love what Kirk Cousins has done for this team – there is a belief in that locker room that we haven’t seen in years! Will this team win the Super Bowl – NO. Have they impressed us in this 2015-2016 campaign – heck yes!
11. Houston Texans
(9-7) Last Week – 12
The Texans started four different QBs this year and still wound up with an AFC South title. JJ Watt is perhaps the single biggest difference maker on any team in the NFL – anytime you have him you have a chance.

12. Pittsburgh Steelers
(10-6) Last Week – 13
The Steelers were lucky to make the playoffs – the Jets improbable loss Sunday paved the way, Still, with the league’s most explosive offense and a defense that does just enough, Pittsburgh could be a dangerous team.
But inconsistency has plagued this team – hence the #12 Ranking. Also, DeAngelo Williams was injured Sunday leaving Pittsburgh zero running game.
13. New York Jets (10-6) Last Week 8
14. Buffalo Bills (8-8) Last Week – 14
15. Indianapolis Colts (8-8) Last Week – 16
16. Oakland Raiders (7-9) Last Week – 15
17. Philadelphia Eagles (7-9) Last Week – 20
18. New Orleans Saints (7-9) Last Week – 23
19. Detroit Lions (7-9) Last Week – 19
20. St. Louis Rams (7-9) Last Week – 17
21. New York Giants (6-10) Last Week – 18
22. Atlanta Falcons (8-8) Last Week – 22
23. Miami Dolphins (6-10) Last Week – 27
24. Tampa Bay Buccaneers (6-10) Last Week – 24
25. Baltimore Ravens (5-11) Last Week – 28
26. Chicago Bears (6-10) Last Week – 21
27. Jacksonville Jaguars (5-11) Last Week – 26
28. San Diego Chargers (4-12) Last Week – 25
29. San Francisco 49ers (5-11) Last Week – 30
30. Dallas Cowboys (4-12) Last Week – 29
31. Cleveland Browns (3-13) Last Week – 31
32. Tennessee Titans (3-13) Last Week – 32
