Dave B’s Fantasy 5 RB Rankings – DFS
Week 4 of the Fantasy Football is almost here – time to think about which Running Backs to start and which ones to sit. The cream is definitely starting to rise to the top as we head into the fourth game off the season – Le’Veon Bell is back and should receive a ton of touches this week and Adrian Peterson is officially back to his Studly form – there are even a couple of unforeseen members of this week’s top 5 RB plays.

Note that Marshawn Lynch, Eddie Lacy and Jeremy Hill aren’t on the list – they have been disappointing so far and won’t appear in the top 5 until they prove they are worthy of Stud status!
So which Studs are locks for a big week? Let’s take a look at the top 5 Fantasy RB plays for Week 3.
1. Adrian Peterson, Vikings
vs. Denver Broncos
Peterson was an absolute terror last week (126 yards rushing and 2 TDs) and said he feels back to normal – good for Peterson owners, not so good for the rest of the NFL. He now has 260 yards rushing in his last two games!

Peterson is the unquestioned focus in the Vikings offense again and should have success against the Broncos. Expect 125 combined yards and at least one score for the #1 RB option this week.
2. Jamaal Charles, Chiefs
vs. Cincinnati Bengals
Charles gets a tougher test this week in Cincinnati but he did score 3 TDs the last time he suited up in Green Bay (only 49 rushing yards). Charles will be heavily featured as the Chiefs try to keep Aaron Rodgers off the field – I expect him to get more touches that he has become accustomed to. With touches comes success for Charles who won’t be overlooked even if the Chiefs fall behind in this game.
3. Le’Veon Bell, Steelers
vs. Baltimore Ravens
Bell was good last week in his return from suspension and would be #1 if he didn’t have Michael Vick lining up under center for the Steelers. Vick scares nobody meaning that Bell will have to face a defense that will be keying on him alone. That said Bell is one of the best in the game and should be able to make something happen with his 25-30 touches on Thursday night.

Bell will be ridden hard, guaranteed and should have success against an underwhelming Baltimore defense. 125 yards and a TD can be expected.
4. Latavius Murray, Raiders
vs. Chicago Bears
Murray jumps into the top 5 thanks to some solid running and also thanks to Derek Carr and an Oakland passing game that has been sizzling so far this year. The fact that the Raiders line up against a 28th ranked Chicago run defense also helps! Murray has scored in two straight games – he should be able to get in the end zone again Sunday. Nobody is really challenging Murray for touches in Oakland making him an easy RB1 with tons of upside this week. 120 combined yards and a TD is where I see Murray ending up this week.
5. Joseph Randle, Cowboys
vs. New Orleans Saints
Randle had himself quite a game last week didn’t he – 3 TDs in the loss to Atlanta. Now he gets a crack at a Saints defense that is allowing 4.2 yards per carry. The presence of Darren McFadden doesn’t scare me a bit – the Cowboys HAVE to ride Randle if they hope to win this week.

There is no way the passing game will get it done with Brandon Weeden under center. Look for 100 combined yards and another score this week for Randle.
