Dave B’s Fantasy 5 Defense – DST Rankings – DFS
Defenses continue to play a big part in the world of Fantasy – just ask Arizona Cardinals owners who enjoyed 2 TDs from their defensive squad last week. The Seahawks also enjoyed a pretty good week thanks to an inept Bears offense and a return TD from the Special teams.

There are some more quality matchups this week – ones that could carry your Fantasy squat over the top.
Let’s take a look at the Top 5 D/ST plays in Week 4 – ones that could generate 20+ points for your squad this week.
1. Cardinals
vs. St. Louis Rams
The Rams, although decent all around have averaged just 16.7 points per game this season – the Cardinals have been the best Fantasy D/ST in the game – by far. Arizona gave up a combined 20 points in the two games between the two teams last year while sweeping them aside.

Arizona’s defense is simply on a different level right now- they generate pressure and force turnovers. At home expect more of the same as the Cardinals dominate.
2. Jets
vs. Miami Dolphins
This is more of a statement about the Miami offense than the Jets defense! That said New York has a formidable stop-unit. Darrelle Revis and Antonio Cromartie have been terrific so far and the D-line outside of one game has been good as well.

The Fins have been putrid outside of garbage time offensively – look for Todd Bowles and company to take full advantage Sunday.
3. Cincinnati Bengals
vs. Kansas City Chiefs
The Chiefs have to run the ball to be successful which plays right into the strength of the Cincinnati defense. The Bengals have yet to surrender a TD on the ground and are allowing just 3.7 yards per carry this season. The Bengals haven’t been great at stopping the pass but KC doesn’t really attack through the air. I am expecting a couple of turnovers this week and for the uber-hot Bengals hold Jamaal Charles down on home field.
4. Denver
vs. Minnesota Vikings
Let’s face it – nobody is going to stop Adrian Peterson but Teddy Bridgewater is good for a couple of mistakes – Teddy is officially the worst rated QB in the NFL right now! The Broncos in turn are #1 against the pass – they should shut the Vikes down and force a couple of turnovers along the way.
5. Seattle
vs. Detroit Lions
All you have to do is watch the tape of Detroit’s and Seattle’s game from last week. The Seahawks allowed just north of 140 total yards and scored a TD on special teams while the Lions looked absolutely out of sync in every aspect of their offense.

The Seattle crowd will add another challenge to a Detroit offense that couldn’t get anything going – AT HOME! Richard Sherman will hold Calvin Johnson in check, and Matt Stafford will likely be forced into a couple of mistakes. Seattle is back in the picture folks and it all starts with the D/ST.
