Dave B’s Fantasy Week 12 Defense – DST Rankings – DFS
Fantasy Football’s Regular Season is quickly coming to an end – seeding for the playoffs and a Regular Season Championship may be on the line the next couple of weeks – it’s no time to sleep on a good D/ST play. If you choose right, your defense may add 20 points to your weekly total.
If you choose wrong your defense may generate only 2-4 Fantasy points. It’s that crucial that you do your homework!

So which D/ST units are most likely to bring a bonanza of points? Let’s take a look at the top Fantasy Football D/ST plays for Week 12.
1.Arizona
The Cardinals play the San Francisco 49ers – that should almost be enough to call them the #1 unit in the game for Week 12. Blaine Gabbert, running back Shaun Draughn, Anquan Boldin, Torrey Smith and Tight End Vance McDonald scare absolutely nobody – seriously. The Niners are bad and will be tasked with trying to solve one of the best defenses in the game right now.

The Cards D/ST should have themselves an enjoyable day Sunday and should reward their owners handsomely!
2.Carolina
No offense has done anything against the Carolina defense all year long. Even Aaron Rodgers struggled to get anything going against the Panthers’ deep and uber-talented D/ST. Tony Romo threw 2 picks last week – rust was obviously a factor. He will be harassed in a major way Thursday and will likely be good for a couple more interceptions. CB Josh Norman will likely pin Dez Bryant down, the run defense should be effective against Darren McFadden and the pass rush should be able to get to Romo for their share of sacks. The Carolina D/ST is a force right now – expect them to show more of the same on Thanksgiving Day.
3.Cincinnati
The Bengals face the Rams in Week 12 – they only have one player to worry about – Todd Gurley.

If the Bengals stop the run, they should be more-than-OK against a St. Louis offense that is 31st in the league in scoring. Cinci. has allowed just two rushing TDs all season long so I am confident they will minimize, not stop the Rams RB. Nick Foles/Case Keenum, Tavon Austin, Kenny Britt and Jared Cook have been awful all season long – don’t expect that to change against Cincinnati. I would be shocked if the Rams gained 250 yards in this one and scored 13 points. All signs point to a huge game for Cincinnati’s D/ST – start them and enjoy the pummeling.
4.N.Y. Jets
The Jets made the Fins look bad in Week 4 and will likely be able to do so again. New York’s defense has caught fire and should be a motivated bunch at home this week. Ryan Tannehill is good for a couple of picks, the Dolphins running game will likely struggle in the cold of Met Life Stadium and the receiving corp. will likely be shut down by one of the best secondaries in the game. Simply put the Jets at home are a matchup nightmare for the Fins who figure to struggle against New York yet again.
5.Patriots
Brock Osweiler and the Denver Broncos host the Pats this week – you can bet that Bill Belichick is salivating at the prospect of facing a QB making his second NFL start!

Osweiler is in for a rough night and Denver’s running game should struggle as well – New England has only allowed four running backs to rush in a touchdown this year and there have been no 100 yard games since the season opener. I like the Pats to showcase a different part of their game this week and to dominate on defense.
