Guards
James Harden, OKC (@ OKC), $11.5 DK, $11.4k FD
James Harden is the second-most expensive player on Tuesday’s slate on DraftKings, but he’s the top option without a doubt.
Against the team that decided it valued Serge Ibaka over him back in the day, Harden will be going up against a squad that has struggled immensely without starting 2-guard Andre Roberson.
[dfads params=’groups=38073&limit=1&return_javascript=1′]
Harden will have a field day against OKC, and the fact that he’ll be trying to one-up Russell Westbrook on a possession-by-possession basis only helps his odds of being the night’s top performer.
Klay Thompson (vs BKN) $6.4k DK, $6.5k FD
Klay Thompson is always a bit of a risk as the Golden State Warriors’ third option, but he always represents a high-value selection since he’s the cheapest of the squad.
Against Brooklyn, he’ll have extra possessions (thanks to the Nets’ incredible pace and subpar defense) to get going.
Expect plenty of three-point looks and at least one hot streak from the Dubs’ shooting guard.
Forwards
Robert Covington, PHI (@ CHA), $4.9k DK, $5.5k FD
Robert Covington is a strong sub-$5k pick (DraftKings).
He’s been good for 27.75 FPTS per game over the last three, and against the Charlotte Hornets—a team that is as close to tanking without actually tanking—there’s a good chance the Philadelphia 76ers put up a big win, giving the “role players” behind Joel Embiid and Ben Simmons a chance to shine.
Paul Millsap, DEN (@ DAL), $5.8k DK, $6.1k FD
The return of Paul Millsap has been a productive one so far. He’s posted an average of 31.63 FPTS per game over his last two, and there’s no better opponent (than the Dallas Mavericks) to keep the ball rolling in a comeback tour.
Centers
Jonas Valanciunas, TOR (vs ATL) $5.6k DK, $6.4k FD
If you prefer bigs over smalls, make sure you take Anthony Davis over James Harden. Not taking either is inexcusable.
But if you’ve got your eye on Harden, per our recommendation, a good mid-level center to draft is the Toronto Raptors’ Jonas Valanciunas.
Valanciunas is going for $5.6k on DraftKings, and with an average of 26 FPTS per night, he’s an easy choice over his opponent, John Collins, who is posting 23.7 at $5.8k.
Injuries/Upgrades
- OUT: John Wall, WSH, G [Bradley Beal, Otto Porter Jr., Tim Frazier]
- OUT: Carmelo Anthony, OKC, F [Paul George]
One last thing. Remember… at the end of the day if you can’t afford to gamble online OR play at Draft Kings and Fan Duel then STOP. We know most DFS players need action, heck we do too, so just bet what you can afford.
