Guards
Malcolm Brogdon, MIL (@ NOLA), $5.4k DK
Malcolm Brogdon is quietly having a very good season. But that makes sense seeing how he was also maybe the quietest Rookie of the Year in league history. Against the New Orleans Pelicans, Brogdon is going up against a squad that is 22nd this season when defending the guard position in DFS. He should be great value at $5.4k.
Kris Dunn, CHI (vs LAL) $5.2k DK
Kris Dunn is going up against a Los Angeles Lakers team that is right in the middle of the pack at 15th when defending guards in DFS. But that number is a bit misleading because L.A. can’t get it’s stuff together, is now without Lonzo Ball and Brandon Ingram for the year and has lost five straight entering this contest. Although there’s some truth to the idea that the Lakers are ready for a bounce-back (more on that later), they’re not going to do it with stellar defense. Dunn should still be able to play above his price tag with the Lakers’ season all but done, even if L.A. puts together its most complete showing in weeks.

Forwards
LeBron James, LAL (@ Chi), $11.2k DK
With LeBron James officially in “load management” mode with an official minutes restriction, you have to check the injury report every game leading up to the tip. But assuming James plays, this could legitimately be one of the best games he plays all season. The Bulls aren’t stopping anybody these days, let alone the best player on the planet who needs to let off some steam. He knows that Los Angeles isn’t making the playoffs, but any chance he has to whip some young whipersnappers into shape, you’d better believe he’s going to take it.
Moe Harkless, POR (@ LAC) $4.5 DK
Moe Harkless is always a bit of a risky pick because of his inconsistent play, not to mention the fact that Portland Trail Blazers head coach Terry Stotts isn’t afraid to let the relatively unknown Jake Layman eat up Maurice’s minutes when the stars align and the Maryland product is the clear-cut better option. All that said, Harkless has a real shot to put together a complete box score against the LA Clippers. The Clips are just 24th in DFS when defending the forward position.
Center
Joel Embiid, PHI (@ CLE), $10.2k
If you’re drafting LeBron James at forward, you’re going to need value picks at guard to pull off a Joel Embiid selection as well. But if there were ever another tier-1 player to consider on Tuesday night, it’s the Philadelphia 76ers’ center. Although Cleveland is technically the No. 5 team in DFS when defending the center, that has more to do with pace of play and the resulting possessions created than actual competent defense. The Cavs are struggling, and Embiid is playing the best basketball of his career. The only other top-tier centers playing on Tuesday are Karl-Anthony Towns and Nikola Jokic, who happen to play one another. If the former plays (KAT is “questionable” as of this writing), the two will, to an extent, lower each other’s ceilings by virtue of canceling out the other from time to time.
