Guards
Ben Simmons, PHI (@ CLE), $8.6 DK, $9.5k FD
Ben Simmons is looking to solidify his Rookie of the Year campaign on Thursday night on national television against LeBron James and the Cleveland Cavaliers.
[dfads params=’groups=38073&limit=1&return_javascript=1′]
Narrative aside, this matchup bodes well for Simmons, so long as James doesn’t take it upon himself to shut down the rookie point-forward. On the year, Cleveland is just 29th in DFS defense against Simmons’ position.
Whether you consider Simmons a point guard or a forward, he’s well worth the cost in a short Thursday slate.
J.J. Redick (@ CLE) $5.2k DK, $4.9k FD
Even after their midseason shuffle, the Cavaliers are struggling on defense. J.J. Redick, who has put together some modestly nice performances as of late, should have a field day against this perimeter D.
Forwards
Andrew Wiggins, Min (@ POR), $6.7k DK, $6.9k FD
Andrew Wiggins isn’t going to be the most efficient play on Thursday night—or any night, for that matter. But with Jimmy Butler out for the immediate future, Wiggins is a good option to put up big points against a Portland defense.
Dario Saric, PHI (@ CLE), $6.5k DK, $7.1k FD
Dario Saric has been one of the more criminally underrated players all season. The Philly forward went for 34.75 DFPTS in his last outing against the Miami Heat, and in this one, he’s going face to face with a Cavs defense that is just 26th in the NBA when defending his position.
Centers
Zach Randolph, SAC (vs BKN) $6.3k DK, $6.1k FD
If you’ve budgeted money to draft Joel Embiid, he’s an easy choice here. Not only is he going up against a terrible Cavs defense, but he’s on national television—his favorite spot—and playing against LeBron James, who could very well look his way in free agency this summer.
If you don’t have enough cap space to go all in on the center position, Zach Randolph represents a good safe selection. He’s going to put up his regular numbers but at an enhanced pace because of the Nets’ high-octane offense.
If Randolph can knock down a couple three-pointers—which shouldn’t be a problem—that alone will make him well worth his price on Thursday night.
Injuries/Upgrades
- OUT: John Wall, WSH, G [Bradley Beal, Otto Porter Jr., Tim Frazier]
- QST: Kevin Love, CLE, F/C [UPGRADES: Larry Nance Jr., Jordan Clarkson, Tristan Thompson]
One last thing. Remember… at the end of the day if you can’t afford to gamble online OR play at Draft Kings and Fan Duel then STOP. We know most DFS players need action, heck we do too, so just bet what you can afford.
