Guards
Donovan Mitchell, UTAH (@ NOLA) $8.2k DK
Donovan Mitchell is a scoring machine—and one who is developing his game to be more efficient and more well-rounded.
Combine that with the fact that he’s playing the NBA’s worst team as far as defending guards in DFS goes and you’ve got an easy pick here in the first guard spot Saturday night.
Cam Payne, CHI (@ ATL), $5k DK
[dfads params=’groups=38073&limit=1&return_javascript=1′]
Cam Payne has become an easy pick—and a value pick— early this NBA season.
Against the Hawks, he’s going up against a squad that is just 23rd in the league in defending guards in DFS.
Payne has been a pleasant surprise…don’t get caught napping on him this weekend.
Forwards
LeBron James, LAL (@ SAS), $11.1k DK
LeBron James isn’t a fool. He knows that his team isn’t going to contend for a title until the 2019-20 campaign, and he knows that the media hype is going to be all over everything he does this season.
And you know what? He doesn’t care about either.
Despite knowing his team won’t contend for a championship, he’s not going to give up playing. And as for the media? He’ll remain one of the best in the biz in tuning out talking heads.
James might not expect a title until next year or beyond, but he’s going to continue playing to the best of his abilities because he knows no other ways.
On Saturday, he’s facing off against a Spurs team that is 27th at defending the forward position at DFS. He’s going to have a field day in this one. Don’t miss out.
DeAndre’ Bembry, ATL (vs CHI), $4.2k DK
If you need a value pick at this point, look no further than DeAndre’ Bembry.
The Atlanta Hawks forward is going up against a Chicago Bulls team that is 11th when defending forwards in DFS—but what most casual players won’t realize is that this number pertains mostly to the first unit.
The second unit doesn’t find nearly as much success, making DeAndre’ Bembry (someone who has exceeded his cost in terms of value multiple times recently) a good pick here.
Centers
Brook Lopez, MIL (@ MIN) $4.8k DK
Need we repeat ourselves? Karl-Anthony Towns doesn’t have his head right, and it’s impacting his play.
You’d be remiss not to land his opponent most nights—Friday night being no exception.
Injuries/Upgrades
- Rajon Rondo/Brandon Ingram, G/F, LAL [UPGRADES: Lonzo Ball, Kyle Kuzma, Josh Hart]
One last thing. Remember… at the end of the day if you can’t afford to gamble online OR play at Draft Kings and Fan Duel then STOP. We know most DFS players need action, heck we do too, so just bet what you can afford.
