Guards
Victor Oladipo, IND (vs POR) $8.6k DK
There are two guards facing off on Monday night in Damian Lillard and Victor Oladipo who should both be considered top options in your lineup. Lillard is the NBA’s leading scorer at this juncture, but the Pacers are going to slow things down and shrink his number of possessions all game long. Oladpio is the one who will be playing his team’s regular style for 48 minutes, and he just so happens to be $1.2k cheaper than his opponent.
The Blazers, by the way, are the 29th team in DFS this season when defending guards, while Indiana sits in fifth.
Derrick Rose, MIN (vs LAL), $5.1k DK
[dfads params=’groups=38073&limit=1&return_javascript=1′]
Derrick Rose is having himself a season. No, he’s not MVP-Rose, but he’s evolved into a new phrase of his career—one in which he can provide legitimate production without being a negative every time he hits the hardwood.
Against the Lakers, Rose will be going up against a squad that is just 26th in DFS when defending guards.
Forwards
Damyean Dotson, NYK (vs BKN), $4.8k DK
This is the value pick of the night.
In his last four outings, Dotson has averaged 28.9 FPTS per game. His best performance was a 20-point, 10-rebound showing against the Miami Heat.
Against the Nets, he’ll have an opportunity to put up numbers that rival that contest.
Wesley Matthews, DAL (@ SAS), $5.2k DK
Harrison Barnes is going to be a tempting pick here, considering his $5.2k price point and the fact that his Dallas Mavericks are facing a San Antonio Spurs team that is dead last in DFS this season defending forwards.
But Wesley Matthews is the better pick here. He’s the same cost, and despite San Antonio sitting in 20th when defending guards (still a bottom-10 ranking), his FPTS per game average is 29.8 compared to Barnes’ 22.9.
Centers
Nikola Jokic, DEN (vs NOLA) $9.9k DK
If Anthony Davis plays on Monday night, he’s an easy pick over Nikola Jokic despite his $11.1k Jokic is an easy big to pick on this season and AD is as good as it comes for the center position.
If Davis sits due to injury, which is what we’re looking at in this scenario, Jokic becomes the easy pick. Without AD in the middle, Jokic is going to have a field day.
Truth is, he may have a field day even with Davis playing—he’s just that good. But if AD sits, it’s game over.
One last thing. Remember… at the end of the day if you can’t afford to gamble online OR play at Draft Kings and Fan Duel then STOP. We know most DFS players need action, heck we do too, so just bet what you can afford.
