Guards
Dwyane Wade, MIA, (@ ATL), $5.2k DK, $5.3k FD
Dwyane Wade has a chance to put together a retro performance on Wednesday when his Miami. Heat play an Atlanta Hawks squad that is doing everything it can to earn the No. 1 pick in this summer’s draft.
[dfads params=’groups=38073&limit=1&return_javascript=1′]
Wade isn’t the most consistent player at this point in his career, but the Heat do everything possible to run their offense through him when he’s on the floor—a system that Atlanta will struggle to stop.
Patty Mills, SAS (@ LAL) $4.5k DK, $4.7k FD
Patty Mills is in the middle of a nice little stretch, and that’s just the start of the good news here. He’s also playing a Los Angeles Lakers squad that is 29th out of 30 teams when defending point guards this season, and those same Lakers are without their starting rookie PG, Lonzo Ball.
Forwards
Anthony Davis, NOLA (vs MEM), $11.8k DK, $12.3k FD
If you’ve spent your money up to this point on low-cost, high-value guards, Anthony Davis has to be on your roster—either as a forward or a center. He’s going up against a Memphis Grizzlies squad that has seen Marc Gasol slow down as the team has lost interest in winning (while admittedly still being productive).
With Davis averaging 53.6 FPTS per night throughout 2017-18 (DK), there’s no reason to fad him on a night with only six games in action.
Dirk Nowitzki, DAL (@ ORL), $4.9k DK, $4.4k FD
Dirk Nowitzk’s battle against Father Time continues to be a victory. There’s no denying he’s slowed down and isn’t the player he used to be, but he remains a constant in the Dallas Mavericks’ offense and his jump shot is, as you’d imagine, as smooth as ever.
Against Orlando, he should have a fairly standard or standard-plus performance, which is perfectly acceptable at his cost if you surround him with a couple high-upside players in your rotation.
Centers
Andre Drummond, DET (vs PHI) $10.3k DK, $10.0k FD
The reason we put Anthony Davis at forward is because Andre Drummond is someone you need to look at very closely for your center spot. He’s not going to come cheap, but he’s going up against a team in the Philadelphia 76ers that is without its All-Star center.
Drummond should have a field day regardless of whether or not the Detroit Pistons can come away with a win.
Injuries/Upgrades
- Joel Embiid, C, PHI (OUT) [UPGRADES: Richaun Holmes, Robert Covington]
- Blake Griffin, F, DET (OUT) [UPGRADES: Andre Drummond]
One last thing. Remember… at the end of the day if you can’t afford to gamble online OR play at Draft Kings and Fan Duel then STOP. We know most DFS players need action, heck we do too, so just bet what you can afford.
