Dave B’s Fantasy 5 TE Rankings – DFS
Week 5 of the NFL season is upon us – Rob Gronkowski owners rejoice as their Stud Tight End returns to the field after a bye. Obviously he retakes the #1 spot in the Tight End Rankings this week. There are some other quality plays out there for you to feast on – a couple of them continue to climb up the Tight End Ranks.

Antonio Gates, who returns from suspension this week just misses out on the Top 5 but we can all expect to see him here sooner than later.
So which Studs are locks for a big week? Let’s take a look at the top 5 Fantasy Tight End plays for Week 5.
1. Rob Gronkowski, Patriots
vs. Dallas Cowboys
Not much question about this one – Gronk is head and shoulders above any Tight End in the game right now. He hasn’t gained less than 94 yards in a game this season and seemingly does whatever he wants on the football field.

He’s the top weapon for a seriously scorching Tom Brady (four TDs so far) and appears to be a lock for 6 catches, around 100 yards and a TD against a Dallas Cowboys team that will find it difficult to keep Brady and the boys off the field.
2. Tyler Eifert, Bengals
vs. Seattle Seahawks
With AJ Green locked in a battle with Richard Sherman, my gut is that Andy Dalton turns to his #2 target often on Sunday – that person being Tyler Eifert.
We know that Green will likely struggle as will the running game against Seattle’s stout defense making Eifert the most reliable weapon for which the Bengals to use. Look for 6 catches, 75 yards and a TD Sunday as Eifert continues his breakout campaign.
3. Travis Kelce, Chiefs
vs. Chicago Bears
Kelce hasn’t quite been the same since his monster Week 1 effort but a game against the Bears could be exactly what he needs to get going again – Chicago’s defense is that bad! With defenses keying on Jamaal Charles and now Jeremy Maclin, Kelce should find a ton of room.

I like him to go off for 75-80 yards and a TD this week.
4. Delanie Walker, Titans
vs. Buffalo Bills
Walker looks like Marcus Mariota’s best receiving threat and after sitting out Week 2 with injury and having a bye in Week 4. He should be back to FULL health – a good sign for Walker owners.
With the Titans likely running game in shambles it will likely be on the shoulder of Marcus Mariota again Sunday – his best and most reliable weapon is his Tight End. I am expecting 7 catches for 70 yards and a TD Sunday – good enough for top 5 this week.
5. Charles Clay, Bills
vs. Tennessee Titans
The other Tight End in the Titans/Bills game should also have some success, especially since the Bills running back situation is as big a question mark as there is heading into Week 5. The possible absence of Sammy Watkins again this week also helps Clay’s potential.

Charles has become a very reliable weapon for Tyrod Taylor and off a nine catch, 111 yard effort is expected to be relevant again.
He will get a ton of targets against a defense that has been less-than-spectacular against opposing Tight Ends so far – a recipe for success for Clay. Expect 7 catches for 70 yards and a TD this week.
