Dave B’s Fantasy 5 RB Rankings – DFS
Week 5 of the Fantasy Football Season kicks off Thursday night with a dandy matchup in Houston. There will definitely be some quality Fantasy matchups in that game. The Running Back position is interesting this week as Adrian Peterson and Chris Ivory are on byes. That doesn’t mean that there aren’t some iron-clad matchups for your Fantasy squad.

So which Studs are locks for a big week? Let’s take a look at the top 5 Fantasy RB plays for Week 5.
1. Le’Veon Bell, Steelers
vs. San Diego Chargers
You absolutely HAVE to love Le’Veon Bell. He’s played two games this year and has a TD in each game despite being without Big Ben in both. He has over 130 yards combined in each game so far and could realistically eclipse those numbers this week.

Seven catches in each of his first two games definitely helps out his cause. Bell will get the ball a ton again this week and should hit his goal of 130 combined yards. I like him to score twice this week as well. Le’Veon is the biggest weapon in the game and an obvious #1 this week with Peterson on a bye.
2. Jamaal Charles, Chiefs
vs. Chicago Bears
Charles has been a bit of a forgotten man with the passing success of the Chief in recent weeks but he has a chance to get back on track against Chicago’s awful defense. Charles ran for 125 yards and a TD in his only home game so far – don’t be surprised if he eclipses those numbers this week. He should be the centerpiece of the offense and get his chances to shred the Bears.
I like Charles to go over 100 yards rushing with a TD and to add another 30-50 yards receiving – easily top 5 RB numbers in Week 5.
3. Eddie Lacy, Packers
vs. St. Louis Rams
Lacy is back to full health and ready to terrorize on home turf. He went for 90 yards on 18 carries last week in a weird game in which the Packers failed to get an offensive flow going. That changes this week when Lacy becomes the focal point again.

I like him to go for 100+ yards on the ground with a TD and to get 3-5 catches with 25-40 yards. Lacy is a Stud – he proves it again this week!
4. Matt Forte, Bears
vs. KC Chiefs
Forte has yet to gain less than 100 total yards in any game except for the one against Seattle – no shame in that.
He is a lock to get the ball 25 times. When that is the case, we can expect Forte to be successful. If the Bears are in the game, they’ll hand it off to their Stud RB.
If they are behind Forte could catch 10 balls. Either way Matt is a sure-fire top 5 option this week. 130 combined yards and a TD can be expected
5. Devonte Freeman, Falcons
vs. Washington Redskins
Gotta ride him while he’s HOT even though the Skins have been surprisingly good against the run. Freeman is the absolute top dog in the Atlanta backfield – he enters on the heels of consecutive three TD games!

With no competition for carries again this week, we can expect another big game from Freeman – on the ground and catching the ball out of the backfield. He went for 149 combined yards last week before getting pulled in the fourth quarter – it wouldn’t be a shock to see him duplicate those numbers again this week.
Freeman is the most shocking Top 5 lock of the Fantasy season – congrats to those that drafted him!
