Dave B’s Fantasy 5 QB Rankings – DFS
Week 4 of the Fantasy Football season is upon us – the quarterback position will be thin this week to say the least with Big Ben on the shelf, Tony Romo still injured and Tom Brady on a bye. There are still some top quality matchups for your Fantasy squad this upcoming week with some new faces inside the top 5.

So which Studs are locks for a big week? Let’s take a look at the top 5 Fantasy QB plays for Week 3.
1. Aaron Rodgers, Packers
vs. San Francisco
Rodgers is #1 with a bullet this week – he has been remarkable this year and now gets a crack at San Francisco’s #28 pass defense. Rodgers has thrown 10 TDs already this year and is coming off a 5 TD performance on Monday night – he is as hot as they come right now.

Rodgers is in total and absolute control right now – don’t expect him to allow a let-down against the sorry 49ers. It’s going to get ugly quickly in San Fran and Rodgers will be the main reason why. 300 yards passing and 3 TDs is a conservative projection this week – enjoy all you Rodgers owners!
2. Andrew Luck, Colts
vs. Jacksonville Jaguars
Nothing cures a QB’s game like a matchup against the Jags – a team that is allowing an average of 283 yards per game this year. Luck has inexplicably thrown seven picks this year but the Jags don’t exactly offer up the same defensive push or secondary that the Bills and Jets do. The offense has been a work in progress to say the least this year – I expect them to start clicking on all cylinders sooner than later – starting this week with the lowly Jags. 300 yards and 3 TDs to go along with another 20-35 rushing yards isn’t a stretch for Luck this week.
3. Russell Wilson, Seahawks
vs. Detroit Lions
Marshawn Lynch is ailing which means that the spotlight Russell Wilson gets a whole lot brighter. Not only should he have some success throwing the ball against the surprisingly weak Lions defense but he should find tons of room to roam, especially if Lynch does sit out this week.

At home, on Monday night something tells me that Wilson shines. I’m expecting 250 yards passing with 2 TDs to go along with 50 yards on the ground and his first rushing TD of the season. The Seahawks are better than they have been playing – proof will come Monday night!
4. Cam Newton, Panthers
vs. Tampa Bay Buccaneers
Cam! Newton has quietly been very good this season and now gets the honor of taking on the league’s #30 ranked defense in Tampa. Newton has found himself in an interesting spot – he IS the red zone rushing threat! With Greg Olsen finding another gear and with Ted Gin rising from the ashes Newton suddenly has weapons he didn’t have earlier in the year. Newton’s rushing ability alone makes him a top 5 guy this week – I am expecting 50 yards on the ground with a score and another 225 yards passing with another 2 TDs this week.
5. Matt Ryan, Falcons
vs. Houston Texans
As long as Julio Jones is healthy and Matt Ryan is upright he is an intriguing play and in a week kind of short on QB talent Ryan sneaks into the top 5. He has gone over 285 yards in every game this year and should be over 300 in this one as well. The only issue with Matty Ice so far – he hasn’t thrown more than two TDs in any game so far.

I expect that trend to change – 300 yards and 3 TDs lands him in the top 5 plays this week.
Other Sneaky Good Plays – Derek Carr – Oakland Raiders, Andy Dalton – Cincinnati Bengals
