Dave B’s Fantasy Week 11 Defense – DST Rankings – DFS
Week 11 of the NFL season is almost here – time to start thinking about which D/ST units will bring us a valuable 15-20 points this week. A top scoring defense is a true luxury as always – to gain 20 points from your defense is a whole lot better than 5-7 points that an average defense will get for you.

So which D/STs are most likely to get you double-digit points this week? Let’s take a look at he top 5 D/ST Fantasy plays for Week 11.
1.Seattle
Seattle gets Blaine Gabbert, and a 49ers team that has zero recognizable running backs this week at CenturyLink. The Hawks defense should absolutely dominate the 49ers – they have to in order to remain in the playoff hunt.

Outside of a bad game last week against Arizona, Seattle’s defense has been money at home. I expect more of the same as they hold a bad 49ers team down, force a few mistakes and maybe even score a TD.
2.Carolina
This week’s opposition the Washington Redskins have been very good offensively the last few weeks but on the road against a superb Panthers defense I expect the Skins to struggle mightily. Very few teams have been able to throw on Carolina – look what they did to Aaron Rodgers lately! The Panthers run defense has been no slouch either! Washington’s offensive strength plays right into the hand of the strength of the Carolina defense here – expect the Panthers to operate at will Sunday and to make the Skins look more like the team we thought they were.
3.New York Jets
A good Jets defense draws the league’s 23rd ranked offense this week – the Houston Texans haven’t been great folks and the Jets should be motivated to rebound from last week’s debacle on Thursday night. There is a chance that backup QB TJ Yates may be pressed into action as well because of the concussion issues of Brian Hoyer.

The Houston running game is an absolute mess (the Jets have allowed just one rushing TD this year anyway), and Darrelle Revis should be able to limit the effectiveness of DeAndre Hopkins leaving absolutely nobody to threaten the Jets offensively. It should be a good week for New York – expect them to dominate the overmatched Houston offense.
4.Denver Broncos
The Broncos receive a small bump down mostly because Brock Osweiler will be the starting QB this week and the defense will be on the field a whole lot more than usual. That said this unit will likely be one of the most motivated squads in the game after two straight losses and after looking just average in those games. Aqib Talib returns from suspension to guard Alshon Jeffery (the Broncos have only allowed one touchdown to be thrown to a wideout all year and that was back in Week 4) and the linebackers from the Broncos have been remarkable against opposing Tight Ends this year – not good news for Martellus Bennett. Denver is still the NFL’s top ranked defense – no reason to overthink starting them this week.
5.New England Patriots
The Pats allowed Tyrod Taylor to have a decent game in Week 2 – expect Bill Belichick to have something in store for him this week!

The Patriots defensive strength is against the run – I can’t imagine Taylor or LeSean McCoy doing a whole lot here even though they will HAVE to keep the ball on the ground to be successful. Sammy Watkins is about the only threat in the passing game – I have faith that Belichick will have something in mind to keep him down as well.
