Week 13 NFL Totals Betting Analysis

NFL Week 13 Totals Analysis

For the third week in a row the under bet was the solid play. 11 of 16 games stayed under the total this week which means that in the past 48 games 32 or 67% have stayed under. Ten of the games actual point totals were six or less points from their total line making this an extremely hard bet to figure out this week.

Week 14 Spreads: Steelers vs. Browns

NFL Thursday Night Football Betting: Steelers vs Browns

Thursday, December 10th
Cleveland Browns Stadium, Cleveland, OH – 8:20 PM ET
NFL Point Spread: Steelers -10, O/U: 36

Amazingly enough, the Cleveland Browns had a better week than the defending (not-for-long) Super Bowl champions. No, Cleveland didn’t win a game (let’s be reasonable here!), but the Browns played San Diego gallantly before bowing to the Chargers, 30-23.

The last time these two teams met was on Sep 13, 2008. The Chippewas walked away with a 31-28 win. This will also be the second time these two have met in a MAC title game at Ford Field. In 2006, the Chippewas defeated the Bobcats 31-10. Central Michigan owns the series, with a 20-4-2 advantage.

Central Michigan won the Mid-American Conference West Division going undefeated and untied in the conference as they defeated Northern Illinois 45-31 in Week 13. Running back Bryan Schroeder rushed for 128 yards and two touchdowns on nine carries, while senior quarterback Dan LeFevour passed for 255 yards with three touchdowns in the win. LeFevour has completed 71 percent of his passes for 2,788 yards and 25 touchdowns with just five interceptions on the year. Central Michigan enters as the No. 2 defense in the MAC, and is yielding just 17.8 points and 331 yards per contest, while holding opponents to a 73 percent scoring rate in the red zone.

Ohio defeated Temple 35-17 in Week 13 earning their second MAC title berth. The victory came at a huge price, as both quarterback Theo Scott and wide receiver LaVon Brazill left the game due to injuries. Both were considered questionable to play as of early this week. Scott passed for 324 yards with three touchdowns passes and two rushing touchdowns for Ohio in the win. The Bobcats lead the nation in turnovers forcing 35, is tied for third in fumbles recovered, and tied for seventh in passes intercepted.

They have been solid against the pass, and lead the league in passing efficiency defense.

Ohio will need to continue there domination in forcing turnovers of they want to slow down a good CMU offense. This may be the Chippewas’ biggest challenge all season.
