As of this writing no team in the NHL Central Division has a losing record. Overall San Jose has the beat record in the NHL going 41-9-9 for 91 points. Joe Thornton and company are an amazing 26-2-3 at home this year. The best team in the Eastern Conference is the Boston. The Bruins are 41-12-8 and have outscored their opponents by a league best 68 goals.

Growing up in Philadelphia I saw many great games in the Spectrum in South Philly. Keep in mind that I am not your typical Philadelphia fan in fact I’m hated in these parts because I root for all of sports teams in Boston. From a sports point of view May 19, 1974 was the worst sports day of my life.

The Boston Celtics are off to their best start in the history of their storied franchise going 27-2 to start the season. That includes a current streak of 19 straight wins. Last year on their way to their 17th NBA Championship all the talk was about the ‘Big Three’ of Kevin Garnett, Paul Pierce, and Ray Allen.
