A long offseason for the Texas A&M Aggies finally comes to an end. While they’ll have to play the first 30-minutes of this contest without star quarterback Johnny Manziel, the Aggies will surely be happy to finally get an opportunity to do their talking on the football field.

Texas A&M came into this season with high hopes, but second half blunders cost this team a chance at a special season. Mike Sherman was replaced by Kevin Sumlin as head coach of the Aggies.
Both these Big 12 teams have struggled lately losing their last 2 games and Texas A&M heads into this game shorthanded with leading rusher Christine Michael, who is out with a knee injury.
Texas A&M (4-2) has gotten over 2 close losses, which likely cost them a chance at a BCS bowl game, but they are back on track with 2 solid wins in a row, especially beating a ranked Baylor team last week.
This Big 12 rivalry is known as the “Battle of the Brazos” and this game should have a ton of fireworks since Baylor ranks 4th in the nation in scoring and Texas A&M ranks 18th.
The Aggies are coming off 2 tough losses to ranked teams and they only lost those games by a combined 5 points. Texas Tech has started the season well winning their first 4 games, but they have yet to play a ranked team and in their last 2 wins their defense has struggled giving up an average of 34 points.
Mike Sherman is still just 19-19 in his tenure at Texas A&M, but the program is on the rise after an impressive turnaround in the middle of 2010. Expectations are much higher this year, but can the Aggies live up to the hype?
