Is it really going to be that easy? Anytime the Super Bowl has been an “easy pick”, most betting fans have been burned to the ground. The Patriots in 2008? Done in by their own arrogance and the looming weight of a perfect season. To be honest, the Cardinals are in the Super Bowl for a reason, and to bet against them is a foolish concept at this point, especially without proper research.
Pittsburgh is favored in most betting circles to win Super Bowl 43 by seven points. Looking over the past 18 NFL championships, teams that were favored by a touchdown and an extra point were dead even: 3-3-1.
During that same time period, favorites were 7-9-2 against the spread.

According to a report from the Associated Press, Vegas bookies are listing the New York Giants and the Tennessee Titans as the odds-on Super Bowl favorites for the NFC and AFC respectively.
SPORTSBETTING.COM has the Giants (+250) and the Pittsburgh Steelers (+450) as its odds-on faves.
Tennessee is the last NFL team standing without a loss. The Titans are living up to their name at 10-0.
Seven of the 10 teams during the Super Bowl era that achieved the same record from 1972 through last year went on to play for the championship. And five won it all.
Now that we’re at the halfway point in the season, it makes sense to take a look at where we are. Some of the teams we were touting at the start have hit speed bumps; others may prove to be the Tampa Bay Rays of the NFL, but much remains to be seen.
