The New York Giants and New England Patriots square off on Sunday in a rematch of Super Bowl XLII. Back on the first Sunday of February 2008, the Giants shocked the world when they upended the seemingly-invincible Patriots 17-14 and stumped their attempt at a perfect season.
We all know that wagering on football is King. Prime example is the Super Bowl where you get down on pretty much anything in terms of props. For both team and individual wagers what I look for is really good odds 2:1 or better.
Not only is this Super Bowl a match up of a few years back when the Giants ruined the Patriots perfect season, but they also beat them in New England in week 9 this season.
The Super Bowl is not only the biggest American sporting event, but it is also the biggest betting event. This season the Giants face the Patriots in a rematch of a few seasons back when the G-Men ruined the Pats and their perfect record upsetting them in the Big Game.
After a long hard fought season, it will be the New England Patriots and the New York Giants in Super Bowl 46. The Giants ruined the Patriots perfect season in Super Bowl XLII. There is no perfect season for the Patriots this time around, but the Giants are still listed as the underdog.
While many are questioning the New England Patriots’ performance against the Baltimore Ravens in last weekend’s AFC Championship game, I fail to see the comparison of one lousy game by Tom Brady equating to a New York Giants upset win in Super bowl XLVI.
