Missouri returns to this game for a second straight time.

Alabama

Winners of the SEC West, the Crimson Tide come in with the number one ranking in the nation. While it isn’t technically official, a win in the SEC Championship game will basically assure Alabama a spot in the BCS Playoff.

Winners of 7 in a row following their loss at Ole Miss, Alabama comes off a win over arch rival Auburn 55-44.

Typically a ground and pound offense that eats up clock, Alabama was forced to go out of character last week when Auburn started running wild in the first half. Alabama threw up their second highest point total of they year led by WR Amari Cooper and his 3 touchdown receptions.

The Crimson Tide defense should have a lot of success Saturday as they go up against a run first offense in the Missouri Tigers. Alabama’s defense allows just 92.3 rush yards against them per game which ranks second overall in the country. They’ll have the task of stopping the 57th ranked rushing offense who averages 176 yards a game on the ground.

Alabama is 4-4 overall in SEC Championship game appearances and have won their last two visits.

Missouri

Missouri is receiving zero respect from the public and oddsmakers in this match up. Opening as two touchdown underdogs, Missouri will look to pull off the upset in what has been a crazy year inside the SEC. The Tigers have won 6 in a row since their embarrassing 34-0 loss at the hands of the Georgia Bulldogs.

To pull off the upset here, Missouri will first have to slow down a Crimson Tide offense that is scoring 36.7 points a game. To win, Missouri will likely have to keep this game low scoring and control the time of possession.

Led by sophomore QB Maty Mauk, the Tigers are averaging just over 28 points a game with 28.6 (70th). While the offense has searched for consistency, they have come up with some big late touchdown drives in close games. RB Marcus Murphy capped off the game winning drive last week against Arkansas with a 12 yard touchdown run.

With the game being played in a Neutral sight, Missouri will look to improve on their 5-0 road record this season.

NCAA Football Handicapping Trends:

  • Crimson Tide are 8-3 ATS in their last 11 neutral site games.
  • Crimson Tide are 4-11-1 ATS in their last 16 games overall.
  • Tigers are 13-3 ATS vs. a team with a winning record.
  • Tigers are 19-6-1 ATS in their last 26 games overall.

Week 15 NCAA Football

With the way the SEC has played out this season, it seems like anybody can beat anybody. That being said, look for Missouri to give Alabama a run for their money here with the possibility of pulling off an upset.

Free 4* NCAA Football Pick: Missouri +14.5

The key for Missouri is to get out to an early lead and slow the game down in the 2nd half.

Alabama 23, Missouri 20

Getting Alabama out of their comfort zone and forcing them into some turnovers is an absolute must. While this game should be tight, in the end Alabama wins, but by a slim margin.

NCAA Football Betting – BCS Game Depends on Pair of Conference Contests

The biggest BetUS Sportsbook college game of the year is in Georgia, but doesn’t feature the Yellow Jackets or the Bulldogs.

The contenders are from neighboring states, top-ranked undefeated Alabama and once-beaten Florida, winners of the West and East divisions respectively, in the Southeastern Conference.
